on the other hand, a side salad with fat free french dressing is 110 calories and is only $.99.
and a classic single is only 230 calories, if you don't get mayo, cheese, and don't eat the bun. Add jalapenos for extra kick.
So you can get a very nutritious, delicious meal at Wendys. If you try.

What shocks me is that there are people who can't come close to guessing what the calorie count is of food in front of them.
That number of calories for the Wendy's triple is far from shocking, and would be virtually the same with any similar sized burger at any restaurant, or at home.
Guess what a Sierra Turkey Sandwich from Panara Bread is? (People would consider this more healthy than a burger)
960 Calories
13g Saturated fat
95mg Cholesterol
That's worse than a quarter pounder.
So you see, not only burgers from fast food burger joints are bad for you. Even what people would consider healthier selections from other restaurants can be nearly as bad, or even worse.
It pays to actually LOOK at what you're eating, rather than just assume one thing is bad while another is good.

why bother with even the meat patty then?
Just order the lettuce, you'll get a really nutritious meal then.
EDIT: (Ack...)
