High in saturated fat, not that bad calorie wise.

That number of calories for the Wendy's triple is far from shocking, and would be virtually the same with any similar sized burger at any restaurant, or at home.

Guess what a Sierra Turkey Sandwich from Panara Bread is? (People would consider this more healthy than a burger)

960 Calories

13g Saturated fat

95mg Cholesterol

That's worse than a quarter pounder.

So you see, not only burgers from fast food burger joints are bad for you. Even what people would consider healthier selections from other restaurants can be nearly as bad, or even worse.

It pays to actually LOOK at what you're eating, rather than just assume one thing is bad while another is good.

Doesnt starbucks have a drink that is about 1000 calories?

Hahahaha 231% daily intake of chloresterol.

You realize those numbers are what ANY large 3 egg, bacon, sausage, hash brown and hotcakes meal looks like at any restaurant?

All these foods are naturally high in saturated fat and cholesterol.

Who here has not had a breakfast that included all of these items?

Probably right, but it is still funny to actually see it written down.

You gotta admit, the pic of the food outside the box looked pretty nasty though. Denny's Meat Lover's are actually higher in calories and lower in cholesterol, though it has more sodium... more protein too (bonus! :p). Actually looks edible on your plate too, though it's pretty damn greasy. Had it once like a year ago. :D Not bad, but it's not something I could eat regularly.

The classic triple is actually heavy to pick up and tastes of nothing but meat. I always love it when someone orders something like this with a diet coke. I've only had one classic triple before, I don't know if I'll try another one any time soon.

Oh I agree the Swanson breakfast is gross.

But by going to Denny's website, one can see that their breakfasts are virtually the same.

The only reason the Meat Lovers Scarmble is lower in cholesterol is because it's 2 eggs instead of 3. It's the eggs that make that number go so high.

Look at Denny's Ultimate Omelette. Only 600 caloris yet 725 mg of cholesterol. Virtually the same with all their omelettes. Why? 3-4 eggs.

http://www.dennys.com/en/cms/Nutrition%2FAllergens/23.html

It's funny that website freaks out over the numbers on the Swanson breakfast, yet probably eats the same thing on a regular basis at home, or their local breakfast diner.

Man, I've been eating several meals throughout the day, but smaller porportions. Just about any meal I go out to eat now I have trouble finishing (and I'm 200lbs). I guess your stomach adjusts to it.

It does. I easily bloat now when I try to eat a larger meal in a single sitting.

I wonder why that is? I've heard reputable doctors say the "stretching and shrinking" stories about your stomach are merely myth.

As if the beef, bacon, and cheese aren't bad enough they have to slop mayo all over it. That has to be the worst sandwhich for you EVER.

The double is really filling. I can't finish fries with a large fries, large fries with a classic double is possible for me. I wonder how fuddrucker's monster burgers are on nutrition facts. I downed one of them earlier this summer too.

I order huge burgers and a diet soda all the time. I'm type I diabetic, and I hate the "what are you on a diet" jokes I've gotten from time to time. it's because real soda fvcks with my blood sugar.

there are reasons to order a diet soda other than being on a diet.

I drink nothing but diet, and it has precisely dick to do with caloric intake.

However, for those who ARE drinking diet for calorie reduction how is eliminating nearly 300 completely empty calories (in a typical 32 oz soft drink) a bad thing? How about if they order an orange juice? Surely that would be better for them, right? A 32 oz orange juice would have nearly 450 calories.

You all need to quit your "cheeseburger and diet coke" because it is completely without merit and f'ing annoying to boot.

when it comes to eating healthy

Some people realize that even fat can be had in moderation, and one still be healthy.

There are no one-size-fits-all diets and any all-or-nothing diet is absurd.

This was proven in another thread, but the foods in most sit down restaurants are on average as bad, if not worse than fast foods. And the foods served at fast food restaurants are virtually the same as identical foods served elsewhere, or at home.

So singling out fast food is absurd. If you're cooking a burger at home or eating a burger at your local sit down restaurant and thinking it's better for you than a fast food burger, you're delusional.

On that live poll 97% of the people who voted (80,000+) had ordered a monster thick burger from Hardees with 52% of them eating it all. Only 1.9% said no way would they eat it. Something is very wrong here.
