Those burgers look tasty! It certainly is not a good idea to live of of those, but once a week or so makes a nice treat.

when it comes to eating healthy

Some people realize that even fat can be had in moderation, and one still be healthy.

There are no one-size-fits-all diets and any all-or-nothing diet is absurd.

This was proven in another thread, but the foods in most sit down restaurants are on average as bad, if not worse than fast foods. And the foods served at fast food restaurants are virtually the same as identical foods served elsewhere, or at home.

So singling out fast food is absurd. If you're cooking a burger at home or eating a burger at your local sit down restaurant and thinking it's better for you than a fast food burger, you're delusional.

im sorry. burgers cooked at home dont have trans fat in them. the ones at fast food do....

That sounds almost right but, those stats are still kind of strange though.

Yeah, I noticed that about message board dwellers. They're all rich vegans adored by their peers and draped in beautiful women.

Because the buns have trans fat in them. Just like the ALL most popular buns people buy at supermarkets. The meat has no trans fats. Just like the meat at home.

Yes, yes, you'll tell me you buy whole grain buns at $5 a pop with no trans fats. So do I. But most people do not.

At any rate, the .5 - 1 gram of trans fat in the average fast food burger is not all that bad. And you'll find the same thing in nearly every sit down restaurant.

I suppose you never eat out then, right?

BTW, I was looking and surprisingly enough, McDonald's sauces appear to be trans fat free, even if their buns are not.

I think it depends on three major things:
1. How much you work out
2. Genetics
3. How often you eat this stuff

Some people have a bad combination of all three, some people don't. So I guess it's part luck and part what you do everyday.

ALL of those boxed microwaveable "meals" are absolutely revolting. It would be considered a human rights violation to serve such offal if people didn't CHOOSE to eat them.

Hahahaha 231% daily intake of chloresterol.

not to mention 98% fat and 104% sat fats. this is a meal for the entire day not considering the cholestrol which would probablly kill you.

Man, I've been eating several meals throughout the day, but smaller porportions. Just about any meal I go out to eat now I have trouble finishing (and I'm 200lbs). I guess your stomach adjusts to it.

It does. I easily bloat now when I try to eat a larger meal in a single sitting.

I wonder why that is? I've heard reputable doctors say the "stretching and shrinking" stories about your stomach are merely myth.

Nope. There are folds in your stomach called rugae that allow it to shrink and swell. Basic anatomy should be well known to reputable doctors.

Edit: Sorry, not trying to be a jerk. No offense to you, Amused.
