You will be disappointed.

Damn!

One time when I switched to Franklin it showed him and Lamar playing basketball. I ran over Lamar afterward because yeah, he's annoying. Rolled over his body a few times for good measure.

After a while I get a text that says "You're paying for my hospital stay homie" or something like that and I lose $10k (or $5k, can't remember). You need him in a later mission so I'm pretty sure he's invincible.

Well at least you tried. LOL

aw man thats epic!!!!!

You know some cool ass dev somewhere went into a meeting and said "Bros lets fuck with people if they try to kill Lamarr!"

They should have made a Jar Jar reference and killed him off in the final fight.

For fun try blowing up each characters safe houses with a different character. They'll text you to tell you to stop shooting at their house. Also, travel with one character to any specific spot then quickly switch to another and go to the same spot. You'll meet up and can hangout. I usually cause a cop chase and the other character will shoot at them without raising your want level.

Same in Grapeseed, those rednecks dont take kindly to being carjacked or shot at. Id still rather have some gangs that were aggressively hostile rather than just being defensive.

There are the lost hangouts that if you pass too close they will give chase on bikes. Unfortunately they never keep up and will blip out. There are also roaming gangs where if you fart ear em let alone car jack one of them they will all become aggressive. Like The Lost however they lack speed and will blip out on any distance out between you and them.

My game crashes and I get this error message fairly often - at least once every couple of hours.

At first I thought it was probably my GPU OC, but I set it back to stock settings and that didn't change anything.

My friend who purchased from Steam couldn't run this game! He has a 3770k and a 760, and 8 gigs of Vengeance. At first the game would crash for him at the initial stage, where Trevor will have to kill all the policemen at the cemetery (or whatever that place was) after robbing the bank. He thought its his WD Green hard disk which is causing the issue. So he bought a new Seagate Barracuda or something. Then he thought it could be his OS as well, so I went and installed Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 pre-bundled. After doing all these the game is still crashing at the exact same spot.

He is frustrated (he should be), and now he is downloading ahem version of the game.

I don't know what to say to him, because I forced him to purchase this. Is there any log file or something like that which would tell what's the cause of the issue, like we have on our Android phones?

What mission and what cemetery? There is only one cemetery in North Yankton, what exact mission is this. To see the crashes open Reliability Viewer or Event Viewer.

Yes, that's the mission. Like I said, the very first mission, in that place like you say.

Will look into that software. But when the game crashes for him, nothing works (not even Ctrl-Alt-Del) but a force reboot of his system!

I had to replay the intro sequence to this game 4-5 times because it would crash. Finally one time after I verified the files via Steam I made it through. He could try to underclock his GPU by -20Mhz on both the core and memory, I've read where people say that has worked.

Oddly, the only place GTAV hiccups on my 2008 system is the opening. Where the wanted stars go from 1 to 5 and you see blurred police lights. Other than that my system does rather well.

For laughs I installed it on my laptop. It has an i7, 8 gigs ram, 1tb SSD, but 512mb of intel HD video. Only does 800x600 windowed and absolutely nothing turned up as far as graphics go. Yea, its low-res and at the absolute minimum but still looks better than the xbox 360 version!

Finally wrapped the main story and am now going through the assassination missions to make everyone a billionaire. I remember the process on PS3, and it's got me extremely stressed out, because on more than one occasion I would wait too long to sell stocks and their value would crater and I'd be forced to reload an old save. Fortunately that hasn't happened to me yet, but I feel like I've also left about $50 million on the table through paranoia and early selling. Still, two down, and everyone is around $360 million, so shouldn't have any trouble getting past $1 billion and then going hog-wild with spending. And I still have most of the strangers/freaks missions left, along with tons of fetch quests. Don't know if I'll manage 100%, but I might at least try for it to see all the weird alien nonsense.

Excellent game, made more so by a brilliant PC port with improved everything; absolutely worth the double dip.

Hmmm, sounds like Ill finish the game broke since Ive just been playing whatever mission is closest to me since the game began, and have barely bothered with stocks. LOL

There's only one real way to get massive amounts of money in the game, and it's to save the assassination missions Franklin gets from Lester until after you've been paid following the final major heist. The upshot is you'll have a ton of money to invest and the missions themselves result in predictable manipulation of the stock market that you can use to turn millions into billions. Unfortunately, if you do those missions before you get the massive payout from the last heist or don't put money in the stock market as you pull off the assassinations, you're only going to end up with ~$35 million in the endgame, which is less than a quarter of what you need to buy the golf course. The only way to get rich is manipulating the stock market and the only way to manipulate the stock market is with those assassination missions. It's kind of ****ty on Rockstar's part to build the game in such a way as to make it easy to screw yourself out of the only possible way to get uber-rich. But there should be mods coming out that give you money; maybe even something as simple as editing a command line.

Yep Im screwed, no filthy riches for me. I think Im done with the assassinations and am still @ less than 50% game completion. I see no more L's for Lester on the map. I really dont care about buying everything in the game though, I just want to finish the story and have a few places to store vehicles in case I wanna go on a military vehicle rampage afterwards. I should be okay for that since Ive already bought some garages, a heli pad, and an air strip. But right now my characters are living paycheck to paycheck after making those purchases. LOL

Or you can just download a 100% save file, if you mess up the stocks. Just play the game and enjoy it then DL a save file with full money.

Yeah it is. The only way to afford certain properties is to delay all assassination missions until after the last mission. I suppose it's their way of getting you to do a second play through.

There are a few fun missions I may replay but there's no way I'd slog through the whole game again. Ill just grab a save file like Future mentioned.

I am on my second playthrough for mega money and 100 percent completion and its kinda cool to do all the missions with the alternate choice. Game at least made it so you can experience some of the second play through with new content.

I am really enjoying hunting. consistently finding the kitties before they eat you is tense!

Just picked up a used gtx 980 and WOW using DSR makes the game look fantastic.

Wish the game would give you some more options clothing wise in the second playthrough. I just hate looking at trevor with those dirty ass clothes. GIVE US A SHOWER OPTION WHEN CHANGING CLOTHES....

Watched a cool video with the three actors who play the three leads. So funny seeing real faces with those voices.

and I want to kill Lamarr...

twice

If I were to play through it again I would definitely use one of my early save games, one that put me just past the first Franklin missions. The ones which included the most of that douche Lamar. I nominate him for most annoying game character EVER!
