What games do you play that makes you rely on health regen?

Almost every shooter since Halo has some form of health regeneration. Be it a shield or otherwise. Battlefield uses it now, CoD, Destiny, Bioshock, Metro 2033 etc

But gta has never had health regeneration. I'm sure it can be a mod for pc later.

Right but the idea was that playing GTA as an FPS put him in the mindset of regenerating health since nearly every other FPS game out there uses that system. I would probably do the same thing myself.

IMO first person mode is really tough. When in first person, I kick into FPS gaming mode and expect my health the regen and such. Nope. Forgot that health is very finite in GTA5. I wish they had an option to do full health regen instead of health packs. That would make this game sooooooo much better in FPS mode. I've already beaten it on PS3, so I just want to have fun.

The aiming is kind of strange too. It doesn't have much auto aim where you just sit the cursor in the general area and shoot like in destiny. You have to be spot on with the tiny bead to hit them. You can use the left trigger snap aiming, but that is really weird in FPS mode.

Will probably get the PC version on sale after release for the mods. Health regen + >60fps will be great.

If you let go of the aim trigger, and then press it again it automatically snaps dead nuts onto an enemy. If you just keep tapping aim as you down enemies you'll clear an area with ease. You should never miss in this game... it's nearly impossible because the enemies aren't very mobile. I don't know how much easier it could get. Once you get used to it, you can aim just a tad higher every time you snap to a new target and you'll rack up head shots in no time. It seems to work exactly the same in 1st person mode as it does in 3rd person mode

Exactly, I thought I explained it well enough.

Yeah, I know. I beat the game on PS3. It has the snap aiming and then you tweak up to get the headshot. I think they introduced that in Red Dead Redemption. It works well in 3rd person, but in 1st person its not really a shooting mechanic anyone has ever done through that perspective so its really jarring. I was hoping (and they pitched it as) a highly polished FPS mode. Maybe I was expecting too much, but it feels really clumsy and not like any FPS made in the last ten years. I can get used to it, but I was thinking it would be like COD or BF in a huge open world. It is definitely not that.

It was one of their main selling points and it feels tacked on to be honest.

I'm enjoying the game with the redone graphics. I don't use first person mode much at all unless it's a huge gun fight.

I don't use the first person mode much. In most cars the field of view is very small and I get into trouble anytime I try driving fast, or uphill on the countryside. I does bring realism, but that's not what GTA is about for me. The first person mode does work really well on bikes and quads.

I'll believe that GTA5 can run at 4k on the PC at more than 10FPS when I see it.

For some reason, every single GTA port to PC, without exception, has run like a legless dog.
