If you stand, does your wife or girlfriend hear it through the wall?

So it wasn't curiosity that led you to click?

I click "new posts".
I read them, at least all on the first page. Unsubscribe after 3 or say days.
But no, I thought the thread had a statement to say, a joke or fact perhaps but not someone's shock over the idea that some men pee sitting down and no I don't care if they do or not nor am I curious as to who does this because what people do hasn't surprised me in years.

It means not having to touch your junk. Also, it means you can keep the toilet seat down at all times. No need to dirty your hands after having to lift the lid, you know, where all the flushed water splashes on.

It's just less work all around to pull down your pants and sit.

In a public restroom though I wouldn't sit unless I'm dropping the deuce. I'll even pee through the toilet seat being down.

It means having to start shopping for a purse. Also, it means you will forever be thought a lessor man by EVERYONE you know except maybe the shrew who convinved you to start. No need to have friends anymore as you clearly don't get to leave the house without permission, you know, because you have no balls.

It's just more work than zip and spray.

Clean your own bathroom for six months and you too will become a sitter. Clean your own bathroom in a house with 3 young boys in it and you'll wonder what idiot ever came up with the idea of standing up to pee.

I'm more concerned with grown man that...

have no tool box
can't do anything
are complete push overs
don't have balls
have 0 control in life/relationship
have been spoiled their whole life

....peeing while sitting is no big deal in comparison.

Posting in a pee thread.

FYI, I would fistfight a polar bear before voluntarily sitting down to pee.

I was rather shocked recently to find out that no less than two adult men I know sit to pee at all times. They are fully ambulatory, mobile, healthy grown men. In one case he was trained as a child to pee sitting down and still does it to this day. In another case I think the guy was actually trained by his wife to do it (and she trains her boys to do the same).

I consider this behavior to be utterly reprehensible in a grown man. Anybody here willing to admit to this stunning defeat of being a man?

Only in the middle of the night when I dont want to wake the kids!

Do I sit down when I pee? You betcha!

I also take dumps standing up. Makes it exciting for everyone in the rest room... Especially when I do it in the urinal...

i pee sitting down

all the men's health journals say it's better for your circulation

Not only that but, sometimes, when standing the trajectory of the piss doesn't go where intended. The only downside to sitting is that my penis might touch the inside of the toilet:biggrin:

If i have to pee because i woke up at 3 am in the morning, yes i will sit down because i don't want to turn on the light (that makes it harder for me to go back to sleep) and if i pee standing up in the darkness while barely awake, i WILL pee all over the floor. Also, i can barely stand up when i'm sleepy.

That's a good reason to sit down to pee.

ROFL, you guys are fucking pussies. Peeing when sitting down is acceptable in the following situations:

1. You are also planning on taking a shit.
2. You are unable to stand due to a medical condition.
3. You have a chair that has a toilet built into it.
4. You have a vagina.

Like I give a fuck what strangers think about my peeing habits. I'll look you dead in the eye while sitting on a hot pink Hello Kitty toilet that sings "YMCA" if it keeps my bathroom clean and my water bill low.

you'll find that the purpose of peeing, is to pee. you can do it standing on your head if you want, as long as the pee goes from you to the toilet, mission accomplished.

fyi i'm not a peeist. i pee both standing and sitting down, depending on various, exceptionally complex factors which you would not understand.
also, i'll let you know that it's even possible to drop a log standing up (skill level: 9000), but i won't deride you for your ridiculous stance of sitting to bomb the toilet, you silly girly-man.

A court in Germany has ruled in favour of a man's right to urinate while standing up after his landlord demanded money for damage to the bathroom floor. The landlord, who was seeking €1,900 (£1400; $2,200), claimed the marble floor had been damaged by urine. But the Duesseldorf judge ruled that the man's method was within cultural norms, saying "urinating standing up is still common practice".

There is some debate in Germany about whether men should sit or stand to pee. Some toilets have red traffic-style signs forbidding the standing position - but those who choose to sit are often referred to as a "Sitzpinkler", implying it is not masculine behaviour.

Judge Stefan Hank agreed with an expert's report that uric acid had caused some damage to the bathroom's floor. But concluding, he said men who insist on standing "must expect occasional rows with housemates, especially women" but cannot be held to account for collateral damage.
"Despite growing domestication of men in this matter, urinating while standing up is still common practice," he added.
