Been dipping his wick in typical Republican hypocrisy, renewing his spirit after difficult politicking, not!!

Good thing, if he followed the typical democrat hypocrisy he'd be married, have hired his man whore as a secretary position and had many long lunch meetings.

yet another notch on the belt for the party of "family values"

Moral of the story, no politician has family values?

fixed. I know many with moral values. but don't seem any politican does

Plenty do. Many don't. It's a lot less important than their policies that sell out the pulic interest, to the delight of our righties here.

Much to-do about nothing. The governor does not do much most of the time. Signs some legislation maybe or works on a budget. If he wants to take a few days off who cares? This just sounds like political posturing. O'Bamma does all kinds of silly stuff, except he is such a media hog that he has 100 cameras following him at all times. The world was not ending or anything.

haha owned

Name three Democrats who have done this 'typical' Democratic behavior. Or be called dishonest for the statement.

This guy must have an IQ of a gnat. Going to Argentina to fuck his mistress and he'd think no one would notice? What has the Republican Party become?

Seems all those quotes from the wife of her saying he had to "write something" was interpreted wrong cause it sure looks like he tried to "right something".

Seriously, this country is doomed long term if people can't have some semblance of moral responsibility...

And of course, it just HAD to be a Republican too. Sometimes I really hate my party.

Republicans supporting immoral war for selfish gain. Republcans supporting freedom to pollute and harm the environment for selfish gain. Republicans supporting cuts to social programs that help the public for selfish gain. Republicans supporting de-regulation, allowing harmful behavior, for selfish gain. Reublicans supporting unethical governing activities from donations to gerrymandering mid-Census for selfish gain. There are all more important than the issue that got your attention, bt you ignore them, apparently.

You think you can say you are for moral policies and for the Republican Party. I disagree.

Would you read just one book I recommend on the topic? If the cost is an issue, if I buy it for you? You look like someone who is 'redeemable', if you make an effort.

This is awesome, FNC ran their chyron with a D next to his name:

Link

They've done this at least 5 times now with various scandal plagued R's.

Not even talking about the affair, if this guy was 'exhausted' from dealing with the legislature and needed to secretly get away because of that (whether it be the Appalachians or Argentina), he didn't have the chops to be POTUS, as many speculated he was vying for.

But yeah, republican hypocrisy, etc. etc.

But i guess it's a step up from seeking sex from bathroom stalls, trailer parks, and page boys that they're more accustomed to.

No, I mean right something, as in to rectify a problem. This case he ended an affair...

Gov. Mark Sanford ranks in the top 50 based on the total amount he spent on trips paid by his office and those paid by the state Commerce Department. Mr. Sanford has traveled to China, Argentina and Brazil through the Commerce Department, which has travel reports showing taxpayers covering $21,488 for those trips.

Mr. Sanford also spent $1,976 in travel through his office.

RAAAWWWRRR I'm so outraged that Obama the ***SOCIALIST*** is giving stimulus money to our state, i'm taking a conservative stance and saying NO!

Oh btw, can you give me some money to take trips to other countries so i can cheat on my wife? TIA.

They understand that the viewer's prejudice is reinfirced by the image. It's subliminal. The "D" in the initial report will outweigh any later correction or criticism.

In fact, there's a story about a top female netrowk journalist - it might be Leslie Stahl IIRC - who ran a withering critique of how the Reagan administration practiced highly dishonest propaganda, by arranging for his photo ops to send messages exactly counter to his controversial policies; if he was cutting childrens' education, you would see him with kids at school.

She got a call from his staff tahkking her for the report saying it was outstanding for them. She though they were being sarcastic, but they said they were sincere.

They explained to her that no one listened to her words about how the images were deceptive, they only noticed the pictures she used showing him in good settings.

She was concerned and actually made arrangements to show her report to a large audience, and she questioned them after. Most only commented on the positive images.

Fox knows a thing or two about propaganda and manipulating its viewers.

Whether it was the 'code words' of race in the Nixon Era ('law and order' meant 'anti-black'), or man other examples, it's nothing new.
