Is Naperville close to Chicago? They have maintenance personnel that work in Chicago every day but don't let that stop you from being a total arrogant prick.

They are always withing about $.10 of each other. Naperville is in the west suburbs out maybe 30ish miles from Chicago proper. Fuel has to go about the same distance to get to either, hence price is about the same.

I know where Naperville is located and have worked in/around Chicago at least 30 times during my 18 years of being a field service representative. Dave thinks he's the only one that knows anything about Chicago. Funny thing is McOwned lives in Elgin which is further away from Chicago proper than Naperville.

Sheez, Elgin's way out there, past Schaumburg even.

The amount is not the issue here.
Yes, the amount IS the issue here because you made it the issue.

You claimed that in Chicago, gas has shot up 70 cents here. This is not true. You've been challenged to prove it and cannot. You claim that being in Chicago makes your information more important than everybody else in Chicago who feeds chicagogasprices.com and chicago news, not a single one of which support your claim. I have even offered you a very easy way to prove it, one which will have me out of your hair in this thread until the end of time: http://forums.anandtech.com/showpost.php?p=34183696&postcount=3778 You did not take it because it was not true. You lied. I know it, you know it, everybody else here knows it.

This lie you have told is in direct offense to Rule #1 at P&N:

http://forums.anandtech.com/showthread.php?t=2227538

intentional posting of misinformation.

This is what you've done. If you want to admit you lied and or made a mistake, simply retract your incredible, unfounded claim.

Further, you said of me
In fact you swore that prices went down here that day.
I never said such thing. Your rampant lying is one thing, but misrepresenting what I have said, clearly and obviously, will not be tolerated. Stop that right now.

Really, you're the one who's telling constant lies and yet you have the nerve to get pissed off at me and rage like a drugged up psychopath. If you stop lying, I stop pointing out the lies. It's a simple logic.

I have only read parts of this now legendary thread, but I am confused. Why does Cowen seem to want gas prices to be higher than they actually are? I could see if he was a republican who wanted to blame it on Obama, but his bias is just...weird...

Multiple people post about the price spikes but he only attacks me because the website allows him to.

Why they are protecting his sorry ass I have no idea.

You are the one who said it was 70 cents, nobody else. Stop pretending others are lying as you have, they don't deserve that.

You are in clear breach of P&N's posting policy with this continued misinformation.

BOLDED your BULLSHIT LIES

Hey asswipe, are you physically here?

Come here and you will see big signs on stations outside the city limit of Chicago touting "NO Cook County Taxes"

Not only is the price much higher just because of the tax but they add on top of that too.

Again, the website management should require people that open their pieholes with shit such as you just did that they be physically present and not say anything about the area they are not located in.

You don't see me spewing shit about hey I'm in Texas and gas is $1

I heard Chicago jumped 30 cents or so already yesterday. We are still at 3.29 here, filled up both vehicles this morning.

I live near one of the cheapest gas stations in the area. Was $3.29 on Saturday. At $3.59 this morning.

I'm in the SW burbs of Chicago.

Dave, I apologize in advance, but with all the fucker this and mother fucker that I missed the post where you provided an address of a gas station backing up your 70 cent claim. Or, are you now ready to admit you lied, in breach of the forum rules on intentional misinformation?

First of all calm down. Second of all, I have spent more time in Chicago than I care to remember. I know what the prices are like in the area. I drove to and from Chicago twice a week for 5 years. I know how to price fuel in the Chicago area. I know where the fuel for the region comes from.

You have done nothing but spread lies and stink up the place. Stop flailing away with baseless accusations and childish name calling in an attempt to get the spotlight off of your own idiocy.

Because he loves to rant against the "Rich", "Evil Oil Companies" and Capitalism in general. A decrease in prices for gas or in the cost of living in general makes it difficult for him to push out that class warfare message of "oppression" and "victimization" a leftist like Mcowen clings too so desperately.

Thought for the day: The aftermath of Hurricane Sandy helps illustrate just how dependent we are on oil. If we ever run out or the supply dwindles and the price skyrockets, we're f'd.
