Man, I can't even start separate threads for them anymore.

http://www.washingtonpost.com/busin...a-4-year-low/2012/03/15/gIQAy6yzDS_story.html

New unemployment claims at their lowest in 4 years.:thumbsup:

"When applications drop consistently below 375,000, it usually signals that hiring is strong enough to lower the unemployment rate."

http://www.reuters.com/article/2012/03/15/us-markets-stocks-idUSBRE82B0DQ20120315

Wall Street loves it.

"U.S. stocks rose on Thursday, with the S&P 500 topping the 1,400-mark for the first time since the financial crisis on a strong run of economic data."

Man, at this rate there could be a popular uprising in 2016 demanding the repeal of term limits after Obama balances the budget, reverses climate change, and achieves energy independence.

I don't want to get ahead of myself though, maybe the Republicans can take the Whitehouse with their brilliant 'We Hate Women' campaign. :D

Maybe Santorum can win the White House by running on an anti-pornography campaign. "If elected, I promise that I will not spooge on any dresses in the White House."

Yeah, that was pretty weird. He pretty much lost the male-internet-user vote today. :p

Yeah, if that doesn't wreak of fanatisism, I don't know what does.
Blackjack is clearly living with blinders on. So with a $15 TRILLION deficit, he thinks Obama can balance a budget? It's not going to be balanced until we have no debt. There's not enough money in the US to satisfy our debt and obligations.

How come debt only seems to be a problem when the President has a "D" behind his last name?

Don't forget spending. Look at the spending percentage during Reagan's, Bush 1 and Bush 2's first terms when dealing with much smaller recessions.

Obama's actually has gone down even more than Clinton's did.

ha, the last time the senate even passed a budget was April 29, 2009. i highly doubt that we are going to balance the budget anytime soon. would be nice if Obama could get congress to do its job, let alone get a budget that took into account debt payments and was balanced.

I believe (and correct me if I'm wrong) it's the same reason that the real unemployment rate only mattered when Bush was in the White House.

Yeah I was looking at that Data...Ronnie Raygun,Bush1 and Bush 2 spent like crazy to get out of a micro recession compared to the one President Obama inherited.

Well hell if you want to use unemployment rates I've seen a huge number on the right, including many on this site, average the unemployment rate under Bush 2 to try to say he was great for jobs, ignoring the reality. Then they magically drop off his accountability on January 20, 2008, even though unemployment usually lags behind 2-3 quarters.

We could do this back and forth all night.

Just like when Obama didn't give an accurate figure on the real cost of Obamacare. Gonna be hard to balance a budget when you can't figure out how much you are spending.

Round and round we go.

You realize you started this shit right? To busy tooting your own "sides" horn to have any critical thought. Dipshit. Obama is not going to do anything to balance the budget, neither have those in recent times who came before him. This is all politics to grab as much power and wealth as possible. Only idiots root for a team besides themselves, tools.

I'd come up with a long coherent reason as to why the unemployment numbers are a fraud but I'll leave it like this.

When the new jobs being created are sales staff at target and people working at the genius bar for 1/3 of what they were making before, that's not really helping productivity or wage earnings.

Nice troll post, the comment you responded to made no such claim. These kind of comments do nothing but derail, and I think this is the second or third one you made today! Almost made your daily quota.

Actually they talked about that on NPR, kinda. Saying people will now be more confident about looking for different jobs and that is a better statistic because it means there is churn and that creates more opportunity for other people.

If turning our economy around in less than 4 years doesn't make Obama the Messiah, I don't know what does. He will balance the budget in his next term and will be a lock for 2016 and probably beyond.

I'm confused. I thought he was just going to declare himself President for life? Are you telling me all those right wing sites lied to me?

god bless the House GOP! ;)

God bless double/triple books and creative accounting. When the bottom falls out, Americans who believe that fairy tales alone can save the US (or the left-right paradigm, in general) will be at a great disadvantage.

I guess your use of the word "God" is likely a colloquialism, but mine isn't. ;)
