Going liquid cooled. Experts chime in on parts!

The fans are very quiet and move a respectable amount of air. I can't really give you a dB rating or anything, but my setup with three of those fans, plus a 250mm and a 140mm is very quiet.

My computer at idle before watercooling was very quiet, but at full load it was loud, 6970s at 65% fan speed.... test it for yourself. Now my machine at full load sounds like it is idling.

lol if your happy with it... thats the only person it really matters to no?

The tweaking begins, aigomorla was right.
Just ordered:
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/10...ack.html#blank
and
http://www.frozencpu.com/products/10..._D14SM-12.html
When these arrive the loop will be reversed, going:
pump -> CPU -> 140mm Radiator -> GPUs -> 3x120mm Radiator -> Res -> Pump

Hopefully the additional radiator will help with the GPU temps, and the loop reversal will stop my GPUs from heating my CPU.

After that I'll probably replace my 120mm fans with some high speed Gentle Typhoons to increase cooling power. Then deal with beautification the interconnects between the GPUs.

lame. I'll keep an eye on your thread for pics when you get it all up and running. You'll have to share your overclocking results as well. I have my 6950s up to 970@1.24. I have been slowly inching higher and my temps are going up too, My GPUs are up to ~55C and the air coming off the radiator is really warm. Hopefully the additional radiator will help. 3x120mm and 1x140mm radiator is about the max I can do without going external on this case, or creating multiple loops and using 5.25" bays for mount 120mm radiators. I'll also be swapping the fans for 1850 rpm Gentle Typhoons to help the 3x120mm radiator disperse more heat.

I noticed my GPU's are locked to what they can OC ... what are you using to OC them past 840/1325 + 20% on the power control?

I've been following this as I am thinking of going liquid cooled. Anyway, to get past that you can use any number of the aftermarket options. I bought an MSI card so I use afterburner just because. I haven't tried the others. With afterburner, there is a config file that you change a '0' to a '1' on the advanced overclocking line or something similar to that. You can google search for it.

MSI Afterburner doesn't give me a lot of options, I probably have to disable overdrive?

My control panel has overdrive enabled. Not sure what other options are you looking for. It does voltage, fan profile and clock speeds. Like I said. I haven't tried other programs.

opens up OC

I had a leak 🙁

It was coming from the top of my top video card. It as a slow leak but I didn't noticed it until my bottom video card stopped crunching numbers. The top video card was still running... The leak wasn't going long enough for the pump to get starved. The computer was still running, downloading and sharing even though one of the cards had "crashed". Hopefully the bottom card isn't dead.

The leak, I think, was caused by a deformed O-ring on a fitting, a result of me over tightening it. I was able to swap it with a new fitting, then re did the tubing. Currently I'm leak testing, everything looks good so far. I got some water in the PSU while redoing the l loop, not much, but apparently I hadn't fully drained the system. I'm waiting or it to dry out and then I'll give it a test. 🙁

Back up and running. No hardware was killed. I'm just surprised it decided to leak randomly... Let them be a lesson in over tightening things...

I think another upgrade will be compression fittings as well.

Ugh, more leaks... I don't get it, I fix one, and another starts... Found the 2nd leak, letting things dry over night then going to go at it again tomorrow with a vice grip on the clamps and see if i can get it sealed up.
