If ya look at that rez, it houses 2 dcc/mcp350 pumps, one pump per rad.

click the pic and it shows spots for 2 pumps on the bottom

I see it says ideal for dual loop systems, but how about single loops, just 2 pumps? How are the reviews on that bad boy? I actually notice it being used in this build :

of course it's possible, just hook them up in series something like this:

|-->pump>rad>cpu>pump>rad>gpu>--|
|-----------<-------------<------------<---|

I wouldn't bother tho, you can set up your computer to shut down once a set temp is reached in the event of a failure.

I've READ that I should do pump-> pump in succession. How are those XSPC reservoirs? I read they are somewhat hard to fill? If I got it, should I get the dual, or the single XSPC?

that I don't know, I have a switftech microres I haven't used yet as the pump I was going to use didn't work, I left it dry for too long. I'm just now getting back into water cooling. I just ordered another pump over the weekend and that is in the CPX-Pro thread I started yesterday.

as far as where to put the second pump, that is where I would put it if I was going to do something like that and use the secondary pump as a repeater so to speak.

the pumps available are probably more dependable now then what was used a few years ago.

I got the microres because I can put a barb on the top and run a tube to a fill port I plan to install on the case top.

any bayres can be a pain to fill.

loop order is moot when flow evens out and becomes uniform thoughout the loop.

The pump to pump is a reference for serial looping.

so it doesnt matter if its pump block pump, or pump pump block, because it the flow will even out at the end.

Still looking for options to make it clean.

If you look at my thread on XS, were waiting for an acceptable viable option for gpu focused cooling.

Wow Koolance looks like they've got their stuff together! I remember them being close to TT products years ago.

do you guys use torque wrenches when you build these higher end systems ?

that's the way the liquid cooled systems on JSF & F-22 are assembled - major use of torque wrenches.

just wondering.

if you've got the right "feel", you don't really _need_ a torque wrench.

but i began to see the need for one when i twisted the head off a 6-32 allen head that was part of a military power supply. my boss thought it was funny.

What's the easiest way to fill/bleed/reservoir then? That's basically the main goal of a reservoir, no?

when I had a bayres, to fill I pulled it out of the case just far enough to expose the plug. you have to leave enough slack in the tubing to be able to pull it out.

edit:
if you get something like this, you can attach a barb to the top, run a tube to the top of the case to a fill port.

btw, crazypc is going out of business and everything is half price.

I once had a dual bay single pump XSPC res....Until it decided to leak :(

yup, I had an acrylic res and the thing cracked because of the additive i had used. Now i will just use distilled water and a bit of silver.

Mine came apart at the seems. Was only using distilled water and a silver strip. Not sure who to blame for the leak. The res was a tight fit in the HAF 932 so I'm thinking it was made out of spec.

you see here is my problem.

everytime i start piecing stuff out.. and im talking about the easiest part to work with,

i go over budget because of the 2 gpu's.

lol...

taking a limited budget of 500-600 = 230dollars on the gpu blocks alone, which eat half your budget.

Throw in a bay res like the koolance one, which i love btw, adds another 100, add another rad, you get another 50, with a block another 100.

Then you need a pump... tubing... barbs... and minimum accessories which pushes it anothre 100-150.

I ran out of budget, unless i can think of an easy way to replace the res + pump complex with something half its price.

easiest way i find is not to buy it all at once. spread the purchases over a month or two. and with that koolance res, you can get one loop up and running and add the other later when you have the parts.

as for the dual gpu, I opted for an hd4870 X2 card and it's served me well so far and I don't plan on replacing it for a couple of more years.
