Hopefully not at $29 a share.
IMHO, anytime is a good time to sell GM at the moment, because GM doesn't have a game plan for the long haul. They will be burdent with a growing debt load, and they don't have the vision to lean down to be competitive.

Yes, but Warren Buffett didn't say one should be foolish in doing so either.
And in case you haven't noticed, Warren Buffett isn't buying GM or F stock.

Anybody using sharebuilder? I placed a limit order at 3.20 Yesterday night for 200 shares. How long does it usually take before your purchase because active on sharebuilder.com? Also, how often are stocks updated? I know markets opened at 9:00AM EASTERN TIME, but what are the delay time frames?

Day trading. That's what left for most of these stocks that fluctuate by the hour. If you you're not looking for growth then I suggest making a few lucky guesses in your option trading.
Like others sad, it's not a buy and hold market for short term gains. I'm not willing to invest over 1k in one stock to settle for a 5% gain if im lucky. I would have to do this on a daily basis to make any noticeable gain and I have neither the time, patience, or luck.
Well, GM closed at $4.85 today... I wonder when we'll see $5.75 or better again? 🙁

I'm gonna buy in tomorrow lots and lots... price should be dropping because of the lack of confidence in the bailout.

😕 Ummm...in case you haven't seen, mutual funds are in the crapper too. 3-5 years is probably a good timeline. You're going to want to put money in super safe bets right now like CD's, liquidy funds, and assets funds. They will only make 2%-5%, but it's better than losing 30%. It could take well over a decade to gain back what has been lost.

I was in a former GM plant yesterday.
A 335,000 sq.ft. former plant in Windsor, Ontario.
the building was sold and is being leased out for various uses. The sole tenant at the moment is occupying just a small portion of the building, maybe 10,000 square feet. Walking through there and seeing all that empty space was an eerie feeling! All I could think of was having an epic floor hockey tournament in there.
