I thought oilfield workers made tons of money right now, especially those in North Dakota....
If I was a millionaire I wouldn't give Nvidia $1000 for the titan. This is insanity. What goes on in one's mind where they can justify a purchase like this? I can't wrap my head around the thought process to get there.

It's called freedom of choice and people liking to spend money on their hobbies. I spend my money on computers, gadgets, guns, movies, and lots of other stuff.
Thought process of a rich mofo:
I really want that Titan. Let's check my bank account... Haha who am I kidding? I'm f!?$ing rich!

And because of it you probably are living in poverty. But who am I to judge. Play on player.
Poverty is perception. If someone is extremely happy where they are, then they aren't likely to agree with you.
You'd be surprised what some people are happy with.
That said, I don't speculate who you quoted has any money-related issues. They may or may not - assuming otherwise is arrogant.
Well considering most people make 30k a year or less, average car purchases being 30k+, most having little to no savings it's safe to assume most people fall into this category. And sad part is they are the prime buyers for titan.

Dude, you need to get over the fact that some people have disposable income and can afford to spend it on nice to have stuff without going in debt. I seriously doubt people making under 30K per year are the folks that will buy Titan.
You say "most people" and group them in the same category as ones you buy a Titan. Most people will not buy Titan. There's a flaw in your deductive reasoning.
I'll stop with the preaching of financial responsibility. It's obvious that it's an argument no one wants to hear because they "deserve" $1000 video cards. What's worse is a highly oc 7970 would be impossible to distinguish the difference without a fps counter.

Oh good, it's car analogy time!
