the problem here is recurring in the computer industry...putting out a product that is poorly tested, lacks promised features and stability....this is true of the hardware and software industry...as an industry the quality is truly crappy
The fact these companies have no remorse or concern for there actions is disgusting and pisses me off to no end...if I pay for something I expect it to perform as advertised..all the features better be there as well
When these companies fail I have no compassion..their business model suck and I am convinced most of the features that fail to work is deliberate engineering failure with no concern to notify the customer of this..there is no excuse
do not defend the industry this allow and provides them license to continue this abhoring behavior...
while I am no fan of ligitation these are examples of where class action suits are appropriate....misleading, misadvertising products is wrong....they need to punished to prevent this from continuing and unfortunately a lawsuit for many of these companies is the only way
I pay for the product and expect it to work....very sad that this just persists in this industry
I am not singling out nvidia...many software and hardware companies have been quilty of this
I had no idea when I purchased my 6800 that this was defective hardware on the card..wonder whether this effects any other parts of the card's performance in 2d/3d apps
