People on this forum don't have a good grasp on history. They think that Europe was developed by space aliens, not pillaging the world and slaughtering billions of people.

No, the US would keep them against European wishes if it comes to it. The US and, quite frankly, the rest of the world needs to have Europe closely watched. These nations are the most bloodthirsty organizations to ever exist in the universe.
It's not like Europeans can do much on their own outside of their territory for now. They needed US capability in Libya and that's so close to their territory. However, I would not be surprised at all if European powers attempt to commit genocide within European borders again. And, as usual, the US will probably have to intervene.
