Captain Carbine, the screenwriter of the upcoming GamerGate cartoon series, just did an interview with Mark Kern. The interview is part of Carbine's #CelebrateGaming initiative, which is a month-long celebration of the positives of gaming, in-spite of so much negativity and fearmongering about gaming these days.

And no one here cares for the most part, still.

The whole thread should have been in PC Gaming to begin with, I had run into issues like this in DAOC when it was still new, and even had several guild leaders back me up over perceived and exaggerated issues with female players at the time.

All the PC Quibbling about issues like this in the last few years are BS to a large degree.

Some of the best guilds I were in in MMO's were actually run by females, the good players know how to vette people along those lines anyway.

All of the Quibbling about politically correct issues in games is a bunch of BS.

Who can't put out their games? This is the same argument that people make about people being banned on Twitter. There are so many channels to distribute content that a person cannot be censored at this point. Restricted? Sure, a little, but if the audience wants the content and it is good, the audience will find it. People want to make money and if a piece of content can make money, someone will do it.

Have you not been paying attention over the past two years? Australia literally just banned a game, because it "offends standards of morality." We've seen countless social justice crybullies attack game developers and artists with threats and harassment, demanding that they remove "offensive" content from their games. We've seen more and more butchering of Japanese games when localized in the West due to this new wave of puritanism.

And oh do tell, how is GamerGate not about ethics? Why are you ignoring the dozens, if not hundreds, of ethical violations that GamerGate has exposed? Why are you ignoring all of the ethics policies that have been updated? The SPJ Airplay conference? The creation of DeepFreeze, cataloguing of ethical violations?

Funny how in your looney world, any responder (no matter how calm and backed-up) would be considered "triggered". Two fun thoughts from this:

Two- ...either youthink everyone else acts/thinks as you do and also gets 'triggered' and require 'safe spaces' as you do. (We don't.
