It's pretty well proven at this point that nobody was sleeping with journalists for favorable coverage of her game.

It's nearly impossible to prove a negative, but none of the evidence against bribery counters the evidence supporting bribery and collusion. Why were several journalists contributing to Zoe Quinn's Patreon account before writing about her game? Even if they're just platonic friends, it's deeply immoral to give rave reviews and awards to your friend for her game just because she's your friend. That's not journalism. That's corruption.

Most sites have caved to GamerGate demands. Sites like Kotaku now have ethics policies that explicitly forbid writers from having relationships, business or pleasure, with any developer they write about.

How dare you insist that journalists separate their personal and business lives. Next you'll say crazy things like the FDA shouldn't rely on Monsanto-funded studies to prove the safety of Monsanto products. Conflict of interest is how you know the study is completely unbiased.

Our media is so broken that people forget what free press looks like. Just look at our government. You need to be invited to the white house to ask questions. If you ask too many questions or make someone look bad, you don't get invited back. The media ends up looking a bit like Lemon Party, and people start to think that's how journalism is supposed to work. I blow you and you blow me, right? Is that how this press thing works? I can give gaming awards to my personal friends?

I'm really amazed that anyone actually jumped to that conclusion from what her ex revealed. The two obviously were close for a long time and their relationship eventually turned sexual. That much is also pretty well supported by everything. A lot of people do apparently outright deny there's any problem with writing articles about your friends or lovers (without disclosure no less), and when people don't understand why people would take issue with something they tend to insist it's just a cover for something more shitty.

These "game journalists" are defintely scumbags who have less interest in games than they do promoting their left wing agenda, but let's not cloud the issue with falsehoods. Fact is, these "journalists" are the losers who couldn't get into real media which is what they really wanted, so they could push their agenda there. Instead, they accidentally ended up in games journalism because it was a job that paid, and they decided they were going to push their agenda on people who weren't interested in it. It backfired.

I don't care about "integrity in games journalism" because I haven't relied on them for information about games since I canceled EGM, or whatever print mag I last subscribed to. My only interest is in seeing the SJW mindset of the anti-GamerGate bandwagoners stamped out, because I detest what they do to society. I knew nothing of SJWs until GG was a thing, but after doing more reading and finding out what they do to every culture they infect, I was flabbergasted that somehow these freaks are given a pulpit to bully from. They try to destroy everything they touch, using censorship and shaming to cow others into agreeing with their radical agenda. They're exactly like the religious right wing crusaders who attempt to silence anybody who disagrees with them, they're left wing fascists and a lot of people still seem to think they're harmless. They're not. Fortunately even liberals (decent liberals, not the radical idiots and their otherkin headmates) are starting to realize that this radical left wing nonsense is dangerous.

GG is a sideshow, and I'm happy to see the SJWs show themselves a fool, but the real issue is far bigger and more important.
