Yes, they literally took a swipe at gamergate in thor
Despite that the current run is selling more than the previous one so far.

According to sales data from Comichron, last month’s Thor #5 weighed in as the 11th-bestselling comic for February with 69,513 issues sold. (You might remember that comic for the way it poked fun at the book’s critics.) Compare that to where the Bro-Thor led Thor: God of Thunder was with its issue #5, at 33rd place with an estimated 51,861 comics sold. That’s almost a 20 percent increase.
Pretty cool that comics audiences like the audience for video games isn't the stereotypical pasty basement dweller.
Here are some comic fans talking about it on a comic book forum

Good article about an attack on comics we have to recognize and one of the right wing figureheads that is stirring it up. Annoyingly spells Steve Rogers wrong, but the rest makes interesting points.
My only argument would be that right-wing parasites, misogynist Men's Rights activists and opportunistic grifters were the ones who STARTED "Gamergate" and people who seemed to have concerns about journalistic ethics were the ones that "latched on" (hopefully to be incredibly appalled at the people they'd allied themselves to).
yomv though...
