That appears to have long since been lost under a mountain of hatred. What you're witnessing is the human psyche can't let go of such defamation and slander. It's festering hatred on both sides. An issue that blew up far beyond its original incarnation. Co-opted from a meaningful purpose.

For all intents and purposes it's an online war. Social violence, if you will. Anyone that'd wish it to continue is a damned fool.

The whole thing is wrong because it has no structure, no speaker to represent actual positions for discussion, and enough bad apples to spoil everything. It's not focused or moderated enough to be constructive. The sort of thing leaders can provide.
