just in terms of genetics, it would make more sense for Tyrion to be at least an OK-looking guy in a (from their-perspective) deformed body.

I've got a friend who suffers from dwarfism... she looks like everyone else in her family, just shorter.

I'd say Sansa becomes pretty likable after the first book... she's obviously out of her league when she's trying to play the subterfuge game with the likes of Littlefinger and Cersei, but she's a quick learner and is presented somewhat empathetically after going through hell with Joffrey.

I will have to disagree with you there.

I have not read the latest book yet but have finished all the earlier ones and she always comes off to me as more annoying and a halfwit then anything.

While she does realize life is not what she thought of with brave, handsome and honorable knights always winning she still is clueless in most of the later events and I never did like her.

I like Tyrion. To me he is great, but in the books the author does go out of his way to note how hideous he is.

Yet he still walks like a Boss.

The problem is Tyrion's siblings are hot. Both of the them are extraordinary on that level.

In the books, Tyrion was something they wished was aborted...

Good article other than the issue with Tyrion. I guess they could have found someone with the face of Sloth from Goonies and plopped it on Dinklage's body? Now that I think about it... photoshop please?

It is odd for them to say no when they say everything else other then a bit better appearance is as good as the books.

I don't know a single person who has read the books and doesn't hate sansa.

Did they only read book 1? We all know she failed in the beginning. Like many girls being tapped to be Queen she lost her mind a bit at first.

Now in the series and books, she is almost like Lady Justice.

tbh, I can't remember a thing about Sansa after (Storm of Swords spoilers)
Joffrey dies and Littlefinger makes off with her

but insofar as the court intrigues in Kings Landing goes, I think she handled herself well for a young teenage girl.

So a couple things that bug me this ep:

Why didn't Stannis use the red-lady's shadow demon thingy to assassinate Joffrey like he did with Renly?

What was with the Hound's sudden change of heart in the middle of battle?

He gets convinced that he needs to win a big battle to show he is the powerful one not her.

The hound is horrified of fire. Ever since the burn, they insinuate it through out the tournament for the hand when they talk about Thoros of Myr and his flaming sword. He is also more than a little in love with Sansa. Various times he is seen being less brutal than the others.

The problem is she keeps getting played by everyone around her including
Littlefinger
while doing next to nothing about it and hoping for the best.

As much as we are supposed to dislike the Lannisters, I really enjoyed Tyrion's role this season. The show makes him a likeable guy who gets screwed by everyone because he's a dwarf. Sad to see episode 9 end the wat it did

Tyrion is supposed to be liked, and the likely reason that is so is because he's actually the most honorable of all the Lannisters, and the reason for that is that he has obviously been humbled for being a "crippled" half-man...of which
a certain other Lannister is about to become a lot more "likable" due to a crippling incident...

when did the gay knight align his tribe to the Lannisters?

i know Littlefinger was talking to Reny's wife (gay Knights sister) in becoming THE queen. but since she's a girl, she has no power in committing the tribe.

was it shown in the show about the alliance?
He was in love with Renly and knew Stannis was somehow behind Renly's death, so it was pretty easy for Loras to side with whomever would allow him to exact his vengeance on Stannis. Its basically an easy scenario of "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".

However the political reason is that House Tyrell wants more power, and getting Margery to be queen is the number one way of acquiring that power. At first the easiest way to power was supporting Renly because he commanded the largest force and seemed like a shoe-in to capture the throne (can even go back to Season 1 where Loras convinces Renly that he would be the best option as king even though he was 4th in line at the time), but then Stannis used some pretty black magic to eliminate him.

With Renly gone and the Lannisters in trouble from losing not only to the Starks in the north but now having to face Stannis with his newly acquired forces, the Lannisters pretty much had no choice but to accept the help from house Tyrell, and anyone that can put two and two together should be able to figure out that Sansa will be out and Margery in as Joffrey's bride-to-be. Heck, even Margery's "innocence" is preserved as they even showed us how Renly likely never consummated his marriage with Margery early on this season when Renly showed no interest in her

Just to clarify one thing, Loras Tyrell isn't in charge of the Tyrell family or anything. His father (Mace Tyrell) actually holds all those titles, and Loras is in fact Mace's third son.

Loras is well known simply because he's good at winning tournaments and he's hawt (the ladies love him).

whos that girl that sat naked on Tyrion's mercenary's lap in the beginning of the episode? i dont recall seeing her b4, altho the only reoccuring whore I remember is Ro and Tyrion's pornstar .

Didn't she appear in Season 1 in the lesbo scene with Ros when they were rehearsing in front of Littlefinger?

I haven't liked Sansa at all until her most recent chapters where things finally started getting interesting, but even then her stories weren't interesting because of her but more because of characters near her.

This is the only reason I can handle her stories.

Early on it was mainly tyrion and the hound to a part then later on being
littlefinger
