Is there anything more concrete than the ultra gay names of these phones yet? Like. . . a release time frame?

Carriers suck. Four incompatible networks suck.
i want to smash my head against the wall. i finally decide to bite on a smartphone but the only one that looks to be without any flaws isn't out here, bah

Unfortunately, no. I don't expect the Within to reach sprint until October. But that's just a wild guess.

If it's released in the late fall this phone will lose lot of its luster. I don't know if the carriers are trying to protect the iPhone or their branded phones like the Droid, Evo, or MyTouch but it's dumb to delay the launch in what's the biggest smartphone market in the world.

Since we are guessing, I guess AT&T in July. Verizon gets it in the fall, as they don't want to push the Charge and X2 off the map.

Android only has one chance to get my market share, and that's releasing the sgs2 before apple releases iPhone 4gs

i really wish we only had 1 network in this country that worked, or 2 and then everything could just be dual band
I'm not sure I like the idea of picking between at&t and verizon only =/ Though, not sure how much having Sprint as the 3rd choice will help. (I'm sticking with Sprint as long as I can)

yea thats not what i meant 1 or 2 networks that EVERYONE can use, carrier is irrelevant

in a perfect world, AT&T, VZ, Sprint,.... would all use the same damn frequency

How would they sell you an exclusive device then? The consumer isn't smart enough to make their own decisions, Apple taught us that. :p

Neither has a release date. Heck, the Bionic doesn't even have spec's anymore since than Tegra 2 version as apparently scrapped.

You'd just have it available subsidized on one carrier and not the others. 95% of people will go for the subsidized device over the full-price one.

If it has LTE,.....

itll be the device to get even without LTE, i couldn't care less about LTE but the Gs2 is a sweet looking phone

actually if it has LTE there a large chance i wont buy it. i see no reason to pay more and get worse battery life for something ill literally NEVER USE in the next few years

A blanket statement saying "its the device to get" is subject to the buyer. As you even stated, having LTE would make you not want it when its THE reason I would.

Granted LTE markets are limited but for those who have access we (me included) might want it. My reasoning is its going to replace TW as my ISP. The speeds provided by LTE make is feasible and cost saving.

i hope you hardly use the internet, because verizon is not gonna like you abusing their network. by the time it comes out they will have already gotten rid of their unlimited plan

Yeah I'm hoping to get "in before the lock" on unlimited data.

'unlimited' to a point, if they detect you using it as a hotspot all the time they will either a)shut you down b)charge you for the tethering.

Unlimited on your phone is entirely different than tethering. Unlimited doesn't mean you can go against the TOS that you signed up for.

FYI, didn't verizon say they will just throttle the top users? Technically they can/will advertise their service as unlimited (like t-mobile does), but will throttle you.

yes they also said they are flat out getting rid of it and going to Tiers this summer

TBH people who think they can use their 4g cell connection as their houses internet connection are are a driving factor behind why we will no longer have unlimited data
