Damn! Appendix removal is pretty routine!

usually you get it removed before it bursts. My dad had his out when he got appendicitis, but they took it out before it burst. I think the gist of the disease is your appendix goes horribly wrong and starts filling with poison, if you don't get it out before it bursts its bad news as the poison gets into all your internals. The pain before the burst can get pretty bad, so you have warning. Its never a good idea to take chances with sharp pains in your lower back area. The checks I've seen, doctors basically poke your sides fairly hard, and if that makes the pain lots lots worse chances are good your appendix is making the attempt to drag you down with it.

Sorry about your uncle, he looks like a nice guy.

So just to confirm, the complication came since the appendix had already burst not because of some botched operation? Regardless, I hope your uncle can some how get through this

Yeah...

🙁

I really hope your uncle gets better. Thats a terrible thing to have happen, and the fact that he is a nurse has to make it worse for him. 🙁

Ugh.. I'm no doctor, but it sounds like necrotic tissue from the infection. If it gets much worse, he could develope necrotizing fascittis. Google it if u want. I'm not goint to explain the symptoms. In any case, it doesn't appear to have developed that far judeging by ur explanation. Don't count him out, its not over yet. I'm praying to every god I can think of. Good luck.

My condolences. I hope your uncle pulls through. I did not know appendicitis could lead to something that serious. Hope he gets better!
