Just wait for the day when you feel the need to go out and protest something. And if that day never comes, well, I feel sorry for you.

No I'm not a professional protestor, but I did march in Toronto in the mid-90s against tuition hikes. When something stirs your passion enough to get you out into the streets, you will respect their position(s).

I've never said ALL protests are worthless and a waste of time, but this one in particular, as well as a high majority of them, ARE.

If only our founding fathers didn't protest. They never would have wasted all that tea!

i agree w/ you. they're just a waste of time, effort, and just creates more problems for others in the area. They should have severe restrictions on these stupid protests.

Yeah...that whole freedom thing is way overrated anyway.

In fact, Bush said so himself:

"There ought to be limits to freedom." Kinda contradicts his freedom-laced speech from yesterday, eh?

The left preaches "freedom" just as much as the right, yet seeks to limit freedoms every bit as much, if not more than the right.

Throwing that quote around does nothing but expose the hypocrisy of those who use it.

freedom without limits is called anarchy, not democracy.

Other than the "fvck protestors" part in the last paragraph, nowhere in your story are protestors mentioned. You could have at least included some details.

Streets were closed off due to protestors. I thought it'd be a given.
You suck at storytelling...

No, I didn't. This thread is about Americans' freedom to protest and the OP (and others) pissed off about that.

the "there ought to be limits to freedom" quote is from bush commenting on a website parody of him. now what the FVCK does that have to with his speech yesterday?
