I have a window open to the hearings on pause and fast forward every now and then. I'm not sure how long it will take to get to a vote but I hope it's soon so the anticonstitutionalist Trumpette's head explodes.

Thank goodness there are rules which prevent digression into Hillary or at least prevent diversionary subpoenas.

What's interesting about these arguments is that none of them address the actual substance of the allegations here. Now of course we know why that is, because the substance is damning, but it's still interesting. Even if the Democrats had devoted 100% of their energies to finding something to impeach Trump on that doesn't change the fact that, well, they found one.

It's also depressing because this line of defense indicates that Republicans know what Trump did is indefensible on the facts but instead of helping to remove him from office they've decided to defend him anyway because he's on the team.

Welp, every single Republican voted against even having an inquiry into whether or not Trump should be impeached despite the fact that he's on record requesting that foreign governments launch investigations into his domestic political opponents.

I hope every conservative minded person on here remembers that next time they are in the voting booth. If it's an incumbent the person you're voting for thinks the president should be able to weaponize the country's foreign policy against whoever might run against him. Is that the side you want to be on?

They're effectively just "attack the messenger, not the message" arguments (ad hominem). It works against those that already have disdain for said messenger.

I too was a little confused by this. One of the R's was up there railing on the fact that there's been meetings behind closed doors, and therefore that's why he's voting to keep this behind closed doors. Wat.
