No matter what the Democrats do it won't be good enough.

Well exactly, because Republicans feel at least at this time they can’t argue their actual position which is that they think the president using the country’s foreign policy and our tax dollars to extort foreign powers into attacking other Americans who oppose him is fine so long as a Republican is the one doing it.

That not a single Republican had the spine to vote their conscience despite Trump’s wrath...was entirely unsurprising!!

I guess it’s officially official now...the Republican Party is dead. Trumpism then. Trumpism now. Trumpism forever!
Have you even read the resolution? If anyone had doubts about the Democrat's impeachment process being nothing more than a political taken down, the resolution erased that. They have openly campaigned for impeachment since 11/9/2016.

Trump has openly campaigned for foreign officials to manipulate the US election system since 2015, what's your point?

Mitch McConnell had a meeting to discuss how to get rid of Obama BEFORE he took office.

Somehow Barack managed to get through 8 years without any of his people being indicted or thrown in prison

That was different, Obama was born in Kenya and should never have been President.

This is how that goes right?

They did the same for Obama. Somehow he managed to get by 8 years without committing crimes or his people getting indicted/jailed

What a moron.

Republicans in the House just voted Trump's actions shouldn't even be investigated.

That's one way to look at the goings on during his admin. Looks like Barr is about to set the record straight on Obama's scandal free reign.

What parts of the resolution do you think indicate that the process is nothing more than a political take down? Please cite them specifically.

Yep, any day now he’ll be bringing charges and any day now Hillary will get locked up.

How long will you stick by those claims until you realize you are being lied to and manipulated?

So what? Trump brings it on himself with his own lawless behavior. Look at the bright side- now the GOP will have the transparency they said they wanted. But they all voted against it. Go figure.

He literally requested assistance from a foreign power, then got assistance from a foreign power. What part of that isn't factual?

It will be because that help supposedly went to Clinton and not Trump, who was the 1 that requested the help.

I know it's pretzel logic but it's how the right rolls nowadays.

Yes. An impeachment is a political take down. Did you think it was something else?

This whole dog and pony show is great and all, but if Trump is not impeached, and I believe he will not be, then he will be reelected. Hence the dog and pony show. Apparently, this is the only way the Democrats think they can beat him. I believe they know in their heart of hearts they don't have an electable candidate. So, things I see happening are that the Senate will not convict, Dems lose the impeachment attempt and Trump gets a second term. If it doesn't go down like that, I'll be back to see you guys go "nananananana" and I'll eat a bug.

<--------takes self back to medicine cabinet for meds. lol

I will be routing for the next President to use the same power to shit on opponents.
I look forward to it.
Just imagine the MAGA guys rage if Obama said to any other country. “I’m hearing Donald Trump has all sorts of shady deals and I’m hearing some of his guys may have real close ties to Russia”

So the House Republicans want the American people to believe that Trump wanted to root out corruption in the Ukraine. Please! This president is corruption personified. I'm sure his interest in Ukrainian corruption was limited to him getting a piece of it. This explains why they wanted to get rid of the ambassador and replace her with a stooge, Rudy and the "two Shrecks", and why Bolton called the whole thing a "drug deal".

As for Bolton...H's a war hawk who fancies himself as the greatest "patriot" of all and that he is very much a hawk with respect to Russia. If he genuinely believes that the Ukraine blackmail has the effect of strengthening Russia's hand then I can totally see him being outraged enough to testify and to build the case for impeachment and conviction. He doesn't see himself as owing Donald Trump anything, if anything he thinks that Loser Donald is in his debt for gracing the room with his presence. I'm sure it didn't take long for Bolton to realize what a chump Trump is and that his presidency poses a clear and present danger to the nation.

Talk about leverage.

I don’t like it but if nothing happens I’m all for it. The game has changed and we have to adapt.

Nothing = nothing
Some sort of compromise like the President will invite some non Trump fluffed to be on the calls or review unedited transcripts would be okay with me.

the republican vote today was as expected, they have to prove to their voters that they support trump.

once the vote for the articles is taken I don't think many will change, some will but most won't.

we'll jut have to see the final numbers.
