This whole dog and pony show is great and all, but if Trump is not impeached, and I believe he will not be, then he will be reelected. Hence the dog and pony show. Apparently, this is the only way the Democrats think they can beat him. I believe they know in their heart of hearts they don't have an electable candidate. So, things I see happening are that the Senate will not convict, Dems lose the impeachment attempt and Trump gets a second term. If it doesn't go down like that, I'll be back to see you guys go "nananananana" and I'll eat a bug.

<--------takes self back to medicine cabinet for meds. lol

Do you know when a President is impeached?
Do you know when he is removed from office?

hint: they are not the same event

I'm having trouble figuring out why anybody not utterly blinded by partisan bias would vote for Trump again. It was one thing to jump up & join the "Fuck you, Libtards!" chant in 2016, quite another to not realize that you fucked yourself when you did it.

If Trump IS impeached, the Dems would get destroyed by the Senate. Their secret evidence and investigations will get exposed for the shams that they are. The Democrats are never going to hold a vote for an actual impeachment resolution because the facts would get exposed. They want to circumvent the Constitution and substitute an "impeachment inquiry" for an actual impeachment. This can be used against Trump in efforts to delegitimize him and have another excuse to do nothing for another 4 years except to "resist". The next wave of Progresshevik political platforms will change from "impeach the MFer to impeachment inquiry the MFer."

The above is brought to you by the Ministry of Culture and Public Enlightenment.

Trump has been bad enough that I think in 2020 Senate goes to the Dems. If Senate repugs stand at point of no return and pick Trump over the Constitution, then Dems take Senate with ridiculous margins.

Repugs are acting like they know this too. The sudden zipping of lips and looking scared shitless isn't unique to Moscow Mitch, now they're all doing it.

So far Pompeo has gotten away without even vaguely answering any questions on the subject.

One guy isn't holding secret meetings with people before they decide to be "whistleblowers" and claiming to have tons of evidence but you can't see it.
I thought only a Trump brain could claim "secret meeting" with Republicans in the room.

Trying to shoot pool with a rope again, Skippy?

I think you mean when the previously denied contact with the whistle blower before that person filed the whistle blower paperwork. Schiff also has long claimed to have tons of evidence against Trump.

Wasn't funny the first time you posted that statement and it's not going to age like a fine wine no matter how many times you repost.

Then stop posting talking points supplied by the Ministry of Culture and Public Enlightenment. If you do that nobody will point out that your regurgitated talking points all come from the Ministry of Culture and Public Enlightenment. Then you will no longer have to deal with any comments about your posts being supplied/promoted by the Ministry of Culture and Public Enlightenment. <shrug>

Trump doesn’t appear to share your confidence as he seems to think he needs a whole bunch of illegal foreign assistance, haha.

So to be clear do you think asking foreign governments to investigate your domestic political enemies is not an impeachable offense?
Something about he hasn’t been charged with a high crime or misdemeanors so he shouldn’t/can’t be impeached. Just ignore the DoJ’s position that a sitting president can’t be charged with anything or Trump’s legal argument that he can’t even be investigated by anyone for anything.

I suspect he will refuse to answer with the usual ‘the reasons for my opinions are secret’ bit.

Enough with the silly argument of political opponent and Biden was the VP. So potential shady actions by an elected official is now off limits for investigations?

Investigations are not done and/or micromanaged by the President in this country. There are proper government agencies and channels of communication between nations. Trump DIRECTLY blackmailed and solicited interference in the 2020 election from other nation(s), plural. With Ukraine on the call, and with China on live TV. He wants other nations to fabricate dirt on Joe Biden.

Work had begun to restart any potential investigations into Burisa and the Bidens before Joe announced his run. Nothing has been proven beyond a doubt.

Trump, personally using the office of the Presidency to attack his political opponents. It is beyond proven, to hell with the propagandists who tell you otherwise. You do not allow your President to cross this line and keep the rule of law in this nation. If Trump can commit these blatant crimes and all Republicans do is waive their hands at us, then civility will come to an end. Americans will eventually let politics give way to violent force if we do not maintain the rule of law. If political parties stand for party before country and excuse all manner of criminal acts in their favor. Is that what you want for America?

So was the vote postponed? I haven't seen any news about this vote happening.
