per the trailer, I predict Kong will have some sort of shield or armor to protect him. Feels like they’re going with giant apes have been fighting giant lizards for thousands of years.

looks to me like he turned some other giant fish/ray-like monster into an axe, which is more badass. Godzilla can't do that. ...why? no thumbs.

Hell, you could just shove Godzilla off a mountain or a meteor or something and he could never hang on because he has no thumbs!

Don't know why people are saying that Kong is small compared to Godzilla. Have you people seen the trailer. Kong is about the same size as Godzilla. Skull Island took place in the mid-70s. This movie takes place 2021. That's 30 plus years. Size isn't going to be an issue.

Tbh, I doubt we will have a winner. They will be introducing Mechazilla. Maybe both Godzilla and Kong will work together to fight the Mecha.

thumbs don't do shit when Kong's head gets melted. Ghidora with 3 head and regeneration lost to Godzilla for crying out loud. That thumb is only good for giving Godzilla a thumbs up.

Kong will use his giant beautiful simian thumbs and brilliant, ancient primate brain to help him grab nearby cumulonimbus storm clouds and drag them down onto Godzilla's dumb lizard head and lizard body--thoroughly dousing his radiation healing and electrocuting him to sleep.

....unless you are honestly supporting the notion that a city-sized earth's mantle-dwelling radioactive sea lizard and a massive ape and king of Dinosaur island fighting it out on top of aircraft carriers is as natural a battle as a lion vs a tiger.

(by the way, how large is that aircraft carrier supposed to be, if we are to believe that it can not only support Godzilla standing on it, but also Kong?)
 
All i know is that it'll be some cop-out tie or a temporary death by either one....

They're obviously not killing either of these huge cash cows...

Kong will be outmatched first. then uses his primate brain / tool usage to catch up.
 
The trailer looks JUST like Evangelion (hugely influential mecha anime in 'real world' settings).
