As mentioned earlier in the thread he was only able to do the nuke-thing in "King of the Monsters" due to being charged up first by the bomb that was used to revive him.

Lol a nuke that size is in the kilotons. It was just to speed up his healing. I love how they have an advanced personal sub but the clock for the nuke is mechanical.

So .... roast-monkey incoming shortly is what your saying? 😛

(if GZ can do it any time he feels like it anyway)

Did the Woman on the ground get vaporized too?
If not I am going to assume that Ghidora along with all the buildings and equipment are made out of highly flammable Chinese crap.

Ended up watching last night since as it turns out zero additional cost to watch if you pay for HBO max apparently? (hope I don't get a surprise $30 charge)

Anyway not discussing anything specific to do with the plot right now but I'll go 7.0 out of 10 ... small step down from King of the Monsters IMO but def worth a watch.

Hbo has had new release day movies all year but you only have 30 days to watch. They are free to watch.

I also watched the movie last night and it was better than I expected. The plot and locations were all over the place. I would like to see a version that lasted about an hour longer.

f me, HBO/Crave TV in Canada here don't even his it listed so are almost all of the DCEU movies.

It was just as I expected it to be (like a typical summer blockbuster movie).

I liked it better than the previous Godzilla movie, and the special effects were really, really good. It was a little slow to get going, but the 2nd half of the movie was non-stop action/fights.

We've come a long way from a guy wearing a cheap Kong or Godzilla costume. 😛

Watched it last night on HBA Max. 7/10

Decent movie. Loved the ending. Besides the little girl, the characters in the story were mostly forgettable. As it should be, since the movies focus is on the two giants.

What's next? Ultraman? Maybe Ultraman, Godzilla vs a new threat...

You are showing signs of dementia..

Clearly you didn't see all the monsters bowing to Godzilla after he trashed Ghidora.

Those weren't friends. those were defeated foes that would just as soon turn around and murder him if, unlike the lizards they all are (notice a trend?) they had the ability to form allies and team up against Godzilla. But they can't.

Err they are not all lizards...

I don't remember all of them off the top of my head, but isn't Rodan basically a flying dragon thingy? I can't recall if any of them are supposed to be "birds" or were more like reptiles of "different abilities."

Meaning, Rodan is one of the few I can recall that is maybe not a lizard, but I always thought it was really just a flying lizard. ....I will probably watch that one again. I found it more enjoyable than I thought I would. I never could finish the classic Godzilla movies; even back in the day when I was a child with shitty taste, I thought they were corny and stupid....but the weird floating twins that spoke for Mothra were always bizarre and interesting to me, even though I had no idea what was going on with that.

--yes, obviously Mothra isn't a lizard thing, haha.

I remember a spider, mastodon and bat based monsters.

I always likes "Godzilla Jr" myself lol.

Never realized giant King Kong sized apes had such good vision! To see that little tiny girl so he could sign with was astounding! I wonder how big his poops are? Wouldn't they be a big problem for the city?

Destroy all Monsters was the first movie I saw in a theater. I think I was 5, the whole family went. Been a Godzilla fan since. King Kong never hooked me because he was such a Greek Tragedy. And the suit in the first VS was just so bad. Mighty Joe Young was my Giant primate homie. I enjoyed the remake of it too.

I agree with a 7/10 rating on this one.
