Fox doesn't make mistakes. They make carefully calculated changes with the full power of plausible deniablity. Yes, it could have been an honest mistake, but fox has long since surrendered the right to be considered innocent until proven guilty.

Interesting about the CBS comment and Dan Rathers October surprise---when you come down to it the documents were not obvious fakes--and not even proven fakes---its just that it could be proved that they might be fakes---and the military officer who could confirm or deny was long dead.

But the conclusion of the possibly forged papers were basically undisputed---GWB did indeed weasal out of his reserve duties---and strings were pulled for him by the military. And by some quirk of fate---GWB was helped and the John Kerry---who did his full military obligations was gravely wounded by a totally phony attack from the swift boat Veterans for the truth.
Which explains why the producer of the story was fired and Dan Rather went into retirement and then completely forgotten about by CBS. CBS wants NOTHING to do with Dan hmm wonder why? How about the fact that the guy who "found" these documents is a Democrat hack? There are now 4 people who think those documents are real, Dan Rather, his producer, the guy who ?found? them and yourself.

I don't believe that those were the actual documents, but as I said before, I do believe the content is entirely accurate. Bush was AWOL, he was not where he was supposed to be and did not complete his obligations.

I think those that feel Foley did nothing wrong are idiots. Partyliners disgust me to be honest. But this thread is equally as disgusting.

just stop with these ludicrous comparisons. your right-wingers think CNN is some huge liberal media giant, and that is just not true. provide PROOF to backup your statements Corbett.

All news media is Liberal, except Fox News.

All you have to do is watch any of the broadcasts to see the point proven.

cnn breaking news:

"Kirk Fordham, a former aide to ex-Rep. Mark Foley, said he alerted the office of the Republican leader of the House of Representatives two years ago about worrisome conduct by Foley with teenage pages, AP reports."

"Kirk Fordham told The Associated Press that when he was told about Foley's inappropriate behavior toward pages, he had "more than one conversation with senior staff at the highest level of the House of Representatives asking them to intervene."

The conversations took place long before the e-mail scandal broke, Fordham said, and at least a year earlier than members of the House GOP leadership have acknowledged."

Oh come on people, just follow the bouncing ball. Fox broadcasting owns Fox news and Fox network. Fox news has a "DOH" moment.
It's obviously just an ad leader for the season premier of the Simpson's.

BEST POST EVAR!!!!

You are such a hack. I posted this earlier in the thread and you say BEST POST EVAR.

CNN's official statement said, "Upon seeing this unfortunate but very brief graphic, CNN senior management immediately investigated. We concluded this was a technical malfunction not an issue of operator error."

On the air, CNN's director of technical operations explained to Kagan that at the end of Cheney's speech, the plan was to "have a CNN logo up on the screen and use that as the way of getting back from the speech back to you on camera and one of the many graphics we use here at CNN."

"A majority of graphics we use on the air, we use as a big X to identify at what point should the tape be cued up," he said. "This is the X you see in the control room, but it is never meant to be seen on the air."

As if there was any question Faux News is a Right Wing mouthpiece.

Yup... I really hate bias in the news.

You're welcome to start your own thread, though I realize your attempt to distract from this particular issue is the standard Republican response to evidence of your own crookedness.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha... Hypocrite.

"Oh oh oh... Look at what Fox did! Nevermind that CNN did it too. Nevermind that CBS ran with obviously fake documents right before the '04 elections. Yup, what matters is THIS mistake and this mistake only. You know, cause it's FOX. And they're biased."

I'm a hypocrite? You back the party that claims to possess a higher moral standard, with great moral stalwarts such as Rush the drug addicted perverted liar, Bill O'Reilly the Loofa pervert sexist pig pay off the whistleblower weirdo, Carl Rove acting as the new Herman Goebbels and GWB the liar in chief, and I'm the hypocrite? lol indeed. 😛
You?ll be laughing all right. 😀

WinnAr!!!

1. Lately I haven't been backing anybody
2. I've never defended Rush
3. *Standard "Republicans are Nazis" Attack*

NONE of which have anything to do with the topic of this thread. But that's how you do it itsn't it? When called out on an obviously hypocritical stance, create a DUHversion. Good work!

And yeah, if you're going to ignore "mistakes" made by other news networks and slam Fox for this one, you're a hypocrite.

No no no. You see the chyron guy at Fauxnews is so overworked with trying to fend off "those evil dem attacks" that he hasn't had time to go get his eyes checked. Also doesn't help that the control room is illuminated only by night lights ("well you LIBS were the ones who wanted us to conserve electricity...DUH!").

The FBI knew in July as well, as did 2 newspapers and NO ONE did anything or thought anything about it because no one saw the IMs which are the only thing that shows anythign beyond Foley being a "creep"

BTW: IF being creepy is something to worry about in our congressmen then we need to kick half of them out.

Correct me if I am wrong but hasn't this type of thing happened before?

Heck what about CNN leaving the Mic on when reporter went to bathroom?

Mistakes happen. Shame on Fox though for making such a big mistake. They just reenforced the belief on the left that FOX is anti-Democrat... oops

you are such a right-wing parrot it's disgusting.
As if this board doesn't have its share of left wing parrots... isn't Harvey's avatar a Parrot ?? hmmmm

Your excuse always for being as despicable as you are is that others are too. Do you ever read what you even type?

ProfJohn has succeeded in sidetracking this thread (again). What I really want to know is: (a) has Fox News publically acknowledged it's "error" and (b) if so, how did they handle the correction and explanation?

Assuming this was an honest error, how Fox News handled it will have great bearing on their credibility.

If the O'Reilly/Malmedy fiasco is any indication, they'll just change the transcripts. Oh wait, it was a visual. That won't work.

Fox isn't finished yet. Check out the link.... Falsely attributing a statement to a member of the Senate and again implying that Foley is a Democrat.

Reid should go after them. The propaganda arm of the Republican party is flying off the rails.

LOL, you have the nerve to mention Reid and then speak about propaganda? 😕

Reid is full of more propaganda and hot air than a whole room full of his opponents.

Relating to the "Foley-D" mistake, they expunged the error the second time around. Most likely if anyone pesters them, they'll just shop the rebroadcast tape around and claim the mistaken image that people have was just a photochop (created by a "leftist smear group", no doubt)

Digg story here

I'm definitly not amused by this "mistake", are you?

He has all the beliefs and actions of a Democrat, why not label him one?

Alabama man!!!

Alabama man - drinks heavily and chews tobacco.

Alabama man!!!

Alabama man

That is the funniest thing I have seen since Bill Clinton being thought of as a great President.

Ohhh and OT troll shuffles in and shuffles out. You will be quickly forgotten. Buh bye.

As for the "mistake", Fox does not make mistakes like that. Nicely done. Wonder how many of the sheep think he is a Dem now. Probably as many that still think Bush is a great president.

Well, either FOX are complete buffoons or they intentionally mislead the public--I'm not sure which is worse.

umm....what is your point?

I don't believe that he was saying that CNN did it intentionally, he was pointing out the fact that if CNN or any other left wing news media make a mistake like this, its no big deal, but if Fox does it then you guys cry and moan about some giant conspiracy. Give it a rest already, it was a mistake.

Anyone that knew about this guy and didnt do anything about it should be severely punished, Republicans and Democrats alike. Its quite obvious that the timing of this coincides with the election, its just as bad that the Democrats most likely knew about this behaviour and waited to release it, and the Republicans knew about this and didn't do a thing.

Edit - thought I hit the quote button. This was in response to Outrider
