As if there was any question Faux News is a Right Wing mouthpiece.

Yup... I really hate bias in the news.

You're welcome to start your own thread, though I realize your attempt to distract from this particular issue is the standard Republican response to evidence of your own crookedness.

Hahahahahahahahahahaha... Hypocrite.

"Oh oh oh... Look at what Fox did! Nevermind that CNN did it too. Nevermind that CBS ran with obviously fake documents right before the '04 elections. Yup, what matters is THIS mistake and this mistake only. You know, cause it's FOX. And they're biased."

Nevermind that Bush used obviously fake documents to justify going to war with Iraq.

Also, CBS's fake documents were still accurate despite being fake, can't say the same about Bush's documents.

So let's put this to bed shall we.

You guys just can't stand to be on the losing end can you?

The entire country is "on the losing end" under Repuglican "leadership"....

One nice things about fox--which is hardly fair or balanced---turn it on early in the week and you get a sneak preview of the Republican talking points--and sure enough,
all the repubs will be on message on the various talk shows all through the week.

And if I recall right, Prof. John, the EIB network is the one that carries Rush Limbaugh---who makes Fox almost seem housebroken----a diploma from Rush---I should have known.

Despite reading P&N since it was split off, the lengths zealots will go to defend one of their own still amaze me.

I agree---the normal logical way to do things is state your premise---then provide evidence why that is so---and in terms of CNN---they have once and only once put an X on Cheneys face.----but the number of incidents where fox distorts and slants the truth is almost endless.
In the case of Rush Limbaugh---rules of logic don't apply---with others one must examine both the initial assumtions and the supporting evidence for bias.---and beware of them glossing by an assumtion of truth too rapidly---or sneaking in untrue implications.

Just because an organization is less than perfect is no excuse for the mis-behavoir of another organization.---a fair and balanced way is to compare the number of biased positions.

In my case I just want the news---the facts mam---just the facts---it then becomes my job to evaluate those facts and decide what they mean.---and I also want to see what unbiased analyists say also---so when there is a variance between what our Pres. says---and what the national intelligence estimate says---I don't want to be told which is more credable---I think I can figure that out for myself.

If the noise stopped it'd be great, but noise is met with noise. It'd be great to have substantive discussions, but the will to enforce the necessary dicipline does not exist, so it's just more noise than signal, essentially. This forum represents an extension of the Bush legacy on American politics: completely polarized and mean-spirited.

The irony, the irony! You obviously have been ignoring other viewpoints your entire life, hence the ignorance.

I'm definitly not amused by this "mistake", are you?

He has all the beliefs and actions of a Democrat, why not label him one?

Alabama man - drinks heavily and chews tobacco.

ROFL, thank you for that link, nice.

BTW: I spent two years in Mobile... talk about a boring place to love, no wonder they drink, chew and beat their wives, nothing else to do.

I've listened to him and a little of him goes a long ways. Does he still try and mesmerize you by doing those super slow zoom ins when he is working his way to his "point"?

Oh, he's only on radio now, isn't he? :D

Provide proof that Fox is some conservative media giant, should be easy since you all make that charge.

Let me point you in a good direction. Nice little report on Media bias by two college Professors.
"Our results show a strong liberal bias: all of the news outlets we examine, except Fox News' Special Report and the Washington Times, received score to the left of the average member of Congress. Consistent with claims made by conservative critics, CBS Evening News and the New York Times received score far to the left of center.
A Measure of Media Bias Note: this was an academic study, not a personal opinion study, they gathered evidence to back up their thesis.

One thing you guys seem to be confusing when you look at Fox news is its commentators and its actual news broadcasts. Sure O'Reilly is to the right, but Olbermann is certainly to the left and Chris Matthews worked for Jimmy Carter, does that automatically mean that MSNBC and CNBC are leftist news organizations?

WinnAr!!!

1. Lately I haven't been backing anybody
2. I've never defended Rush
3. *Standard "Republicans are Nazis" Attack*

NONE of which have anything to do with the topic of this thread. But that's how you do it itsn't it? When called out on an obviously hypocritical stance, create a DUHversion. Good work!

And yeah, if you're going to ignore "mistakes" made by other news networks and slam Fox for this one, you're a hypocrite.

Like I said:
CBS - Fake documents: Meh
CNN - Big black X: Oh well
FOX - Foley, D: ZOMGWTFFOLEYSNOTADEMOCRATREPUBLICANBIASKARLROVENAZISBBQ!!!!11!11!ONE!1

Matthews has admitted voting for W in 2000. Such a leftist.

Interesting about the CBS comment and Dan Rathers October surprise---when you come down to it the documents were not obvious fakes--and not even proven fakes---its just that it could be proved that they might be fakes---and the military officer who could confirm or deny was long dead.

But the conclusion of the possibly forged papers were basically undisputed---GWB did indeed weasal out of his reserve duties---and strings were pulled for him by the military. And by some quirk of fate---GWB was helped and the John Kerry---who did his full military obligations was gravely wounded by a totally phony attack from the swift boat Veterans for the truth.

Considering I can't listen to his ignorant, bigoted trash for more than two minutes without wanting to put an axe through his, and every other conservative's, skull, I think you can understand why I'm not a regular Rush listener.

Considering the average member of Congress is a brainless Republican toadie whose greatest aspiration is to be a rubber stamp for the moronic schemes of the president, saying someone is to the left of the average member of congress is not saying anything at all.

Which explains why the producer of the story was fired and Dan Rather went into retirement and then completely forgotten about by CBS. CBS wants NOTHING to do with Dan hmm wonder why? How about the fact that the guy who "found" these documents is a Democrat hack? There are now 4 people who think those documents are real, Dan Rather, his producer, the guy who ?found? them and yourself.
