OMG... It took me 15 min just to get in here to complain about how slow things are tonight. I'm used to it being slow but holy crap. My MO tonight has pretty much been click, get up and get a beer, open beer, drink beer, sit down... Oh! There's the page.

It's pretty bad for me here too, on a Comcast connection, at 9:45AM. Was seemingly fine at around 8:30AM on my FIOS connection.

I think the 56K modem you guys are using needs to be upgraded.

My 25Mbps up and down was still taking 2-3 mins easily per page load last night ~5 mins at the worst.

Also it was down for awhile as i tried to hop on and wouldnt even load up the page just got back about 5 mins ago however.

As bad as Fusetalk was, I don't remember the weekly downtime nor the terrible slowdowns...or even the "pop-up ad" problems that we've had since the switch to vBulletin.

The forums have been terribly slow at night lately...

FT looks better and better. :/

So it turns out our old server hardware got wind of the fact that we ordered some new server hardware, and now something, somewhere is trying its damnedest to die. The IT guys are working on it, but right now I couldn't tell you when all of this will be resolved. So hang tight folks.

Tell the cleaning crew not to plug in the vacum cleaner into the server farm outlets, those Dyson vacum cleaners suck up a lot of juice.........

Thank you for the update, Ryan :)

Updates on what's going on behind the scenes is always appreciated. Good reviews, by the way, on the main site. I like the current pace of updates on AnandTech - it's giving me plenty of reading material for downtime at work :D

Geez, you guys need life outside of AT. Let them sort out the performance issues.
