When I tried to access this site last night it simply timed out with an error message.

But still as a long time anand tech member I can recall past years when Anandtech was down more frequently. And as somewhat a forum Junkie, other forum websites tend to go down more frequently.

And as Evadman points out, those that must maintain forum hardware and software are probably being cyber attacked constantly from everyone to script kiddies up to cyber professionals. And given the amount of hardware needed to keep this forum running, I would imagine hardware failures are a common occurrence.

But maybe the hardware and soft ware people will later respond on this thread.

How are we doing tonight? Everything looks good on my end at the moment.

Just started getting slow for me about 3 mins ago. So not good, but for me anyway it has been slow steadily starting around 10:30-11:30 then dead around 12:30-1 then back around 1:30-2 and slow until 3 or 4.

lol never seen a forum with so many issues, a tech forum at that.

As bad as Fusetalk was, I don't remember the weekly downtime nor the terrible slowdowns...or even the "pop-up ad" problems that we've had since the switch to vBulletin.

The forums have been terribly slow at night lately...
