What are they going to get out of it, some really juicy girl gossip at the sink or looking at some nice ankles under the stall doors? You do know that women don't use big long urinals where one could just casually walk up and look sideways and see some vagina right?

Frankly, I'd rather not have to explain to my young child why the lady in a dress and looks very much like a woman is using the mens bathroom. A woman who looks very much like a man but uses the stall would maybe get a cursory glance but no real explanation needed.

Information attached to your SSN would need to be updated as well. Wouldn't that be the deciding factor in what bathroom one uses?

Surely the law should evaluate such circumstances based on the suspect's behaviour, it's as simple as that?

Example: If a guy goes into a guy's locker room, starts ogling everyone, makes a show of himself in some graphic way and generally making people uncomfortable. Same applies to a woman going into a woman's locker room and acting the same way, or guy into female room or vice versa.

Whether or not certain people are allowed to be in gender-designated facilities has nothing to do with the level of security of those facilities. Perceived security, perhaps.

Mine was a perfectly reasonable solution but there's NO WAY you're going to let an anti-progressive have a 'good idea' so you had to find something, something to attack it on. You ranted about the 'security' angle first (despite the fact the only reason I barely mentioned it in passing at all in response to others' reasonable concerns regarding it.) Sure, not a lot of people are attacked in bathrooms but it happens once in a while so people are aware and cautious of it. Sensible. My idea (not an original one either since many places already exist with just 1 or 2 simple bathrooms) eliminates that concern. You look in, see it's empty, close the door and lock it. Done.
YOUR angle of allowing anyone who *says* they identify as *whatever* that day should use whatever gendered bathroom they want, strike up conversations with anyone inside and those people should be forced to smile and say how brave that person is for using a bathroom they don't blend in with. The other angle about it being an expensive nightmare of plumbing and space? Tough luck. You wanted equal bathrooms for all? You got it! Mine is the simplest, easiest method and doesn't require the bloody bathroom security guard you suggested. (And the cost of plumbing won't be that much more expensive than the row of toilets and sinks that already exists, you just have a simple wall between each. Plus, it's still cheaper than paying a salary to even a cheap security guard!)

Taking up more space? Yes it does, but it's that or force everyone to use a communal high-traffic bathroom (which progressives want, but the general public does NOT.) The public has already made outcries that it very much rejects the idea of large public men+women+whatever washrooms all together.

You'd probably want to replace "gender" with "sex." Gender is a role, while sex is a biological feature. Depending if you are a nature or nurture believer, the gender that a person is born as may be different than their biological sex. Such as a boy born with feminine inclinations.

No more than there is now. As with most laws, the point is prosecution after the fact rather than prevention.

The issue we're discussing is the acceptance of deviant behavior, and the problems involved with forcing the vast majority into accepting and conforming with that behavior. It will end up being law, under threat of prosecution, so it seems we should seek an answer that's enforceable.

I've been to several Buccs games in the pass the guys would be hitting the urinals and a Lady would walk in and hit a stall rather than wait in line.
