You could have simply thanked me for my suggestion instead of raging like an idiot more. Gender and sex are different things. That's why they are different words, genius.

Thank you, for what? Merely accepting some liberal bullshit which has been rejected by many psychologists and has no biological basis in reality?

But hey, you probably believe in Otherkin also.

Oh so you just thought that sex and gender were two different words that meant the same thing.

Keep raging about 'liberal bullshit' though. Who knew the dictionary was a liberal conspiracy?

You'd probably want to replace "gender" with "sex." Gender is a role, while sex is a biological feature. Depending if you are a nature or nurture believer, the gender that a person is born as may be different than their biological sex. Such as a boy born with feminine inclinations.

Why should anyone recognize gender being different than biological sex?
I'd suggest a default position is that they are one in the same.

In the context of the manifestations (physical vs of the two, sure, I'll agree that they are two different things, but the notion that they are separable and not linked, except for an extremely small subset of the population, is ridiculous. You think dictionaries aren't influenced by political movements?

That's like saying, "Hey, Cisgender is in the dictionary, it must be legit" when it was nothing more than a feminist labeling to legitimize abnormal behavior.

So what kind of Otherkin are you?

To be clear, I don't give a flying fuck through a rolling donut whether some dude cuts off his dick, slaps on tits, wears a wig and makeup, and calls himself Shirley, as long as society doesn't treat it as some normal behavior and I can point to my kids, in the same manner I would for any abnormal behavior and say "hey, that guy needs help" when they ask me WTF is wrong. What he does with his body is his business, but nobody should be running around pretending it's normal, nor indoctrinating kids that it should be normal. No more so than any other deviant behavior.

Okay so now that we agree that sex and gender are two different things, how is gender different? You already said it isn't a social construct so what is it?

So you think a man who cuts off his dick and says he is a woman is a woman?

Can a human be a turnip?

According to wikipedia it is why the word was coined academically in the first place:

Sexologist John Money introduced the terminological distinction between biological sex and gender as a role in 1955. Before his work, it was uncommon to use the word gender to refer to anything but grammatical categories.[1][2] However, Money's meaning of the word did not become widespread until the 1970s, when feminist theory embraced the concept of a distinction between biological sex and the social construct of gender.

As you can see, the word gender being used to describe sexual roles was the key reason it was appropriated from grammar terms.

I'm not quite sure how people lost that definition especially these days.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gender

Gender encapsulates many facets of what society considers to be masculine and feminine including biological sex, but it also includes behavioral and cultural traits as well. Behaviors such as liking blue are learned while having a penis is biological. These things are able to be discussed by the difference between the words sex (having a penis) and gender (liking blue, for example.)

Why some people are adverse to talking about the difference between gender and sex is strange to me.

What are you mad about? Why do you care what another man considers himself to be?

You're just ranting now. You already agreed that sex and gender are different yet you seem angry when people try to treat them as different.

They are different from a dictionary perspective, which has bee redefined for political motives.

Is Rachel dolezol black?

Yes clearly the liberals are to blame for why sex and gender are different.

Quite simple, never taught the academic meaning.

Because as far as anyone would be concerned it's the description of biological sex. Go ahead and fill out any form and Gender's two options are Male/Female. Reasoning for why that'd be? Because puritanicals hate that "dirty" word "sex". Let's make it something cleaner, something "kid friendly". Like darn for damn.

Who would give it a second thought?

...it isn't a social construct so...

That's exactly what it is. If we expand it out to mean "gender roll" then it's nothing more than a social construct to segregate by sex. It should be "wrong" and classified as mental illness to oppose one's biological sex in attempt to fit a different role.

To be mutilated for a gender roll... for a social construct? Sounds very unhealthy and entirely unnecessary. Finding ways for people to feel comfortable, to be happy in their natural body, is the correct pursuit. To accommodate it as normal... strikes a nerve.

I think it is on forms because of the work of those in the 1970s and more recently. Sex is only one facet of someone's gender identity, so "gender" describes someone much more accurately than sex alone.

I think it depends on the forms though. I believe government forms ask for sex. I'm not sure how the laws work in that regard.

That's irrational and an attempt to change the topic. You already agreed that gender and sex are different so what's your problem?

It is not irrational and you know it. Why? Because you answer yes, then you have to acknowledge the lunacy of anybody being able to be what they want, including black or turnip, and the social benefits of that, or if you say no you have to achnowledge your own hypocrisy. Furthermore, if you say no, you have to full throatedly acknowledge that there should be a separation of racial identity and some other socially constructed one in order to bifurcate and allow for a 3rd option, which you refuse to do. Moreover, you refuse to do that because you know how utterly moronic it is and have to acknowledge that some fuck wit college professor feminists were faced with this quandary some time ago and decided to bifurcate in order to fit their political agenda.

That is why Rachel dolezol is not black, why Bruce Jenner is a man, and there isn't any amount of Revlon, fake tits or man made tacos that can change it.

So go ahead, do what they did and create new definitions for every variation of state a human can choose to be and codify it in the dictionary like they did so in 30 years otherkin can argue that their struggle is legitimate because some asshole named eskimospy made it legitimate 30 years before. That way the pansxual elephant otherkin who wears dumbo ears in public can celebrate is specialness in the open.

I'm just curious, what political agenda is being realized through gender fluidity? Is there a nefarious goal?

Again this is total ranting insanity. You are seriously mentally ill.

You can't even remain consistent between posts. Seek help.

No, I just pivoted to attack from a different direction, showing you how definitional changes, such as bifurcating gender and sex, to fit a political agenda or some imagined quandary (which may have been the result of the political agenda), is utter insanity.

I would suggest anybody who feels the need to slice and dice humanity to satiate some mentally ill person's desire to cut their dick off, especially when heaping of adoration upon that person is more akin to screaming encouragement to people wanting to jump off a bridge, instead of asking why they want to and imploring them to seek help.

Thank goodness someone is standing up to this wave of violence and crime committed by transgender people. The South nails yet another pressing issue!

I love how Southerners react to the phrase 'unisex bathroom,' you'd think someone just threatened their children with a wood chipper. It's getting harder to maintain that bigotry towards gay people, I guess transgenders are the fallback target now?
You'l know doubt find this hard to believe, but in the South (and indeed, all of flyover country) people generally have no difficulty determining their sex and that of others.

Haha. Good point. I'd love to see compuwiz's face when a 6'5" transvestite pulls his dress up to take a piss in the urinal next to him lol.
I've had that experience. For some reason, seems like it's almost always tall dudes who want to be chicks.

Really? Unless this person was trying to make a point.... No one would know. However, would you want this sharing a bathroom with your preteen daughter:

norman-ballhorn.jpg
So would that be any better walking into the Men's room with your preteen son, assuming you aren't there with him? Some people are going to be uber creepy no matter where they are. He/she is a better argument for family restrooms where the parent of either sex can go in with young children or send them in secure that they are alone.

Where did the thought process come from? Do your research and the agenda becomes self evident.

Let's say I don't get it and I tried researching. Please explain to me. What is the political agenda for gender fluidity? What is the goal?
