if you laid $1 MILLION dollars in front of somebody, they would do just about anything you wanted to have that money.

Not one iota of whatever suffering you could reduce using the money you gained from this crime would mitigate the crime itself, because it's money you didn't earn.

I'd do it for 1 billion.

The worth of a human life is not infinite, and we prove this to ourselves every time we buy some luxury with money that could go instead to save starving children in somelandia.

Once I had the billion, I'd balance the scales by using half of it to give a fifty thousand people who'd die otherwise a full and happy life.


To flip it around, I'd also agree to be killed to save fifty thousand other people.

Nothing you can do with that money anyway, if that's the case. Since the human race would be extinct in 6 days at that death rate, you wouldn't have enough time to save anyone.
 
well, given that we're already killing people indirectly (eg, using oil, buying diamonds, etc.), why not?

if i knew i wasn't going to get caught i'd do it for 50k, probably less. a college education for 1 mortal sin is a good deal in my book.
 
Where does this money come from? If $100B is magically materialized in my account, then a dollar in itself would be worth less (still probably quite a bit though) If the $100B comes from the government, I would do it for less, since basically everyone in the country would be subsidizing a pointless murder. $1B would be quite enough, and yet not enough to debilitate the economy.
 
I'd do it, then adopt some poor african aids patient kids and give them all the love, attention and support any child could ever ask for.

























Then I'd sacrifice them to a powerful demon for magical powers.

for 100 bil...i could cover it up myself...
i would do it for much much less...lots of good coud be done w/ the money...
