I'd say he'd be better off with these guys, maybe they'd get the complaining, self-pity, and whining out of him.

Or the Army, or the Navy, or the Air Force, or anything really.

he'd probably lose his shoelaces at bootcamp

Wanting power windows, power locks, and maybe keyless entry(As in unlock/lock with a little key fob) is not being EXTREMELY picky. And yeah, I don't want to drive a Ford Focus, Dodge Neon, Pontiac Grand Am, or a VW Golf... >.> I've been looking at Toyotas, Mazdas, Hondas, Nissans, and all kinds of other cars... >.> Practically 9/10 car listings on craigslist is crap, at minimum.

Wait... what?
Do you understand the meaning of "picky"? I think not.
You have such a deluded view of reality it's brilliantly comical. You cannot really be this ridiculously... oh wait, yes you can, I've known people just like you and it's so pathetic I literally can not stand being around them for a few minutes.

If this is how you really are, no wonder you can't make any good friends or make way with the ladies. They equally see how pathetic and how much of a whiny bitch you are if you always act like this.

Seriously, I wouldn't ever act like this around someone who merely posted once or twice acting like this. I'm not that much of an ass. But you, you just continue to whine this entire thread, making excuses and complaining about the small little things, because they all fit into your more grand view of how much life sucks. You continue to clearly state how you won't make any sacrifices of your own and will only take action when someone holds your hand or gives you hand outs.

As for this car thing?
Jesus fucking christ.
You basically want a new car? Only ones in the past 2 or 3 years? And only of the mid-range or better import brands?
You feel you absolutely require all power options, even remote start?

Seriously? This is being picky? bwahahaha

Senior in college here, after graduation I'll Commission in the Army Reserve and move out into my own apartment permanently and going to start making a full effort to secure my 9-5 job (or something for the week, whatever it is) as soon as I find out my training dates.
What do I drive?
'97 Dodge Dakota that I've sadly had to sink quite a bit of money into since it wasn't the hottest generation for the model. It has manual locks, manual windows, and remote start? lol. My fancy feature is Cruise Control, oh and a passenger airbag in addition to my airbag.
As long as it continues to hold up, I'll be keeping it. It gets me where I want. I have my aftermarket stereo and recently installed new speakers since the old ones bit it - but I digress.
Being as picky as you are with everything, you'll end up just like your brother - afraid to do anything on your own unless someone reaches out and holds your hand. You just hate him because you see exactly what your going to be like in a few short years.

Damn OP you have no right to call anyone "fugly", as you're absolutely terrible looking. I'm guessing that's a cause for a lot of your problems so I won't sit here and try to bring you down, but wow you have no right to call ANYONE fucking ugly bro.

Also, get a goddamn job you lazy, whiny, entitled, baby.

Reading comprehension fail? Where did I ever say remote start? Where did I ever say a 2007 model or newer? Where did I say ALL power options? Nowhere...

And, you're wrong. ^_^

I wish people could get banned just for being a tool. Seems like Trident started this thread but hasn't even thought about the options that people are offering him. It's lose lose with him.

He's created threads like this in the past. Shit, he's posted even worse, like have an emotional breakdown and crying about moving into a smaller bedroom. Many people have given him advice but he won't take it.

He makes fun of his half-brother but he's destined to end-up like him except at least his brother got laid.

Trident, until you stop making excuses, you'll never change. Nothing stops you from getting a part-time job, finishing school, getting an apt(w/ roommates), girlfriend, car, etc...

so you picked one thing out? That makes me feel confident in the rest of what I said.
So I'm right.

I misinterpreted
"Practically 9/10 car listings on craigslist is crap, at minimum"
to mean you practically all the 2009/2010 model car listings are terrible, as in a bad selection, and basically ignored "at minimum".
That level of pickiness fit in with everything else, so I apologize for misinterpreting that line.
Everything else, since it had not been rebutted, as have many claims in this thread gone unchallenged, I am led to believe we have been quite accurate.

Thus, you hate your brother because you see yourself in him. Have fun with the rest of your life, as the world is a little more harsh and only offers handouts sparingly.

Ugly guys can get gf's too ya know...

If you happen to want a really ugly girlfriend too.. Then sure... That has been proven in this household, as you can even marry and divorce them. :\

However, I want to be with someone I find attractive and not repulsive. :hmm:

Another excuse? Ugly people can improve their looks, confidence, attitude and meet people, you just don't want to try.

You can't really change an ugly face. Which is the problem that seems unsolvable.

The thing being alluded to by Capt Caveman is something called sacrifice. Until you grow up and learn to get things you want you have to put some effort into life, you most definitely won't secure these things. When you stop coming off as an entitled whiny bitch to others, and behave in a manner that implies you feel like you are owed and will not act until someone holds your hand, you might just secure more friends and have a chance at making impressions on women.

Your looks are the least of your problems, and NOT the reason that girls are not attracted to you.

When you're looking at the bottom of the used car range that is being pretty picky. Anyways, your reason for not picking some cars was because of how they looked. I think you even mentioned that you didn't want some cars because it girls wouldn't have sex with a guy with a car that didn't look good. Honestly, if you think that a civic or accord is going to make you have better luck with the ladies than with any of those other cars you listed you're probably beyond hope anyways.

If you're worried about that you haven't come to terms with the fact that you need to watch how you spend your money. At some point you need to grow up and realize what's important in your life. Spending money to get a car where one of the key things you're looking for is appearance but living in a place you hate shows that your priorities aren't right.

Get an apartment as close as you can get to the school you'll be attending. Grow a pair and deal with the cold. Biking in 50* isn't cold, if you don't have a jacket go buy one. If you can't afford one bite the bullet and get one from Goodwill. If you need a car buy the best deal you can find near the bottom of the market. It may mean you drive something you think is ugly as sin, but honestly until you get out of school and a real job you're not going to be in a position where you should be worrying about the kind of car you're driving.

Until I graduated college I was driving rust buckets and most of our furniture was things I got for free. I'm sure many of the guys here were in similar positions until they finished up with school.

Trident, here's a bit of inspiration of what you could have if you at least try in life...

I'm not rich, I'm far from it. But because I put some effort towards that goal I was able to achieve it. I am now able to own my own fully furnished house. Ok, so maybe I don't own that furniture yet since I have to pay it off, but you get the idea. :p

If you at least get a low end job you can pay for college if that free college program does not work out for you, then save up for a house or apartment, well don't really need to save up for an apartment, so you could even move out right after college. Or if you really want to move out before.

When you do move out you'll realize all the stuff your parents did for you. You'll have to learn how to cook, do laundry, clean the house, and dare I even say, DIY jobs like electrical work and plumbing? Yep, your dad probably does all this stuff without you even realizing. Broken toilets and clogged sinks don't fix themselves.

If you do get free college then all that money you saved up could be a nice down payment on a house or car. Personally I'd concentrate on a place to stay first, there's nothing wrong with taking the bus, or bike to work, or if you're lucky you can find a place nearby to work at.

I remember your first photos of your place. You really made it look nice.
Is it still absolutely necessary to arm yourself when entering the lair below your house, I mean basement? Those photos have always made me :D.

Yeah it sure improved from what it was. And a good broom is still required for the second crawlspace, while I cleared the major webs (yeah I actually went IN THERE, right at the end!) new ones are forming all the time. I found a few small webs by my patch panel the other day. Gives a whole new meaning to "interweb" :p Thankfully there are no webs in the main basement area, and upstairs. In fact even the attic is quite clean.

Massively overflowing from the basket things it's in. >_<

Someone does your laundry? Damn your life sucks.

Surprisingly hard if you're at a CC, do not have a job, and do not have a car.

You are easily the biggest pussy on the planet. You can't do anything to change the hand you were dealt, so stop whining about it. The only thing you can do is try to change the future, so get off your whiny ass and make it happen.

You'd do well to find a very average (hell, even below-average) looking chick at your CC and going bone crazy on all holes.

Oh, and get a job, preferably with ladies your own age working there... Buy a $1000 car at your FIRST opportunity to do so. Problem solved.

Then start buying furniture off craigslist, find two roommates off craigslist, find an apartment. Done.

You know what guys, I've changed my mind, I think Trident is right. He should just give up now because his life sucks. He should go live out the rest of his days in a cardboard box with no human contact because he obviously isn't good enough at anything and is too ugly to succeed in the real world. Just give up now man.

Man, fuck this kid. He's worse than Casiotech. All he wants is attention because he's so negative no one in their right mind in person wants to give it to him. Needs a swift kick in the ass.

The car part isn't gonna happen, because the only cars you can possibly get for $1000 are American, fuel hogs, won't get him laid, have shitty interiors, come with -gasp- manual windows/locks, and won't do his laundry for him.
