That wouldn't be the only criteria for success. Mass shooters seem to strongly prefer unarmed victims. If the mere knowledge that teachers were armed prevented a mass shooter from making an attempt at a school that would be a success as well.

Considering there has never been a single case where it’s shown that was a deciding factor I’d say it’s a moot point. Shit there’s enough of these by now that you’d think just once one of the shooters would say that was why they went to that specific place. And yet they haven’t. What they have all had was a specific attachment to the place they chose.

I think it’s probably safe to say that once they have decided to do what they are going to do nothing would deter them.

Did the Florida authorities not investigate multiple tips about him wanting to shoot up schools?
