Why? Because he is continuing the WoT against the very people who attacked us on 9-11? There will be things to be upset about with Obama. Having missles attack NW Pakistan to take out AQ or Taliban is not one of them.

I consider myself pretty supportive of Obama but give me a break with this 'he's only been in office 2 days' crap. He is the man now. It is his responsibility. With that said I don't see why this comes as a surprise to anyone, I tend to think we have a secret agreement with Pakistan to do this sort of thing because they could never publicly endorse our bombing their country. At the same time they don't react substantively to our doing so.

There is a somewhat missed but blurry distinction Obama makes about going after " terrorist training camps " in Pakistan. (1) Obama usually adds in the qualifier Al-Quida, which may mean that he does not intend the same policy for the Taliban, which are separate group with different goals. (2) Obama usually also qualifies that Statement with the phrase, if Pakistan does not act, we will. With the later problem being complicated by the fact, while most within Pakistani military leadership may keep any secrets Nato divulges, there are some highly placed ISI moles who will warn the targets they are about to get struck.
So its a super complicated mess of a military problem in terms of getting Nato and Pakistan to effective co operate as allies, making too many blind to the fact that beating the Taliban is more of an social issue rather than a military problem in the first place.

Obama has said from day 1 - yes, I would pursue terrorists, and/or strike targets inside of other countries such as Pakistan. I believe, also, that McCain was critical of this 'stance' during the campaign.
Bush, for the most part, was also hesitant to go into Pakistan - now you are saying there were "rampant posts" about Bush violating the sovereignty of Pakistan? What the hell are you talking about? The complaint has been that Bush stopped his pursuit of Al-Q in Afghanistan and Pakistan to run Rummy/Cheney/Wolfie's game of monopoly in Iraq, not that he was violating anything in Pakistan.
