We need a system to tell who is here legally and illegally and then any businesss person who gets caught hiring illegals gets jail time, just like any other thief.
Now you're talking.

Just like with Arizona, its not the employers job to enforce immigration law.
No, but it IS the job of businesses to obey the laws and ensure to the best of their ability that their employees have the correct legal documents that prove their right to work in the USA.
Huh, people actually defend Sheriff Joe. Maybe he'll have a few more prisoners murdered under his watch to show his appreciation from his fans, you guys like that.
If it weren't for people providing jobs to illegals we wouldn't have most of the problems of which you speak, except in cases like Obama's Aunt Zetie living off the US taxpayer.

You don't think that government officials benefit from illegals? You don't think school teachers benefit from illegals? Again, why do you only choose to punish business owners when politicians, teachers, and other government employees benefit financially from ignoring immigration laws as well?
In a separate investigation, a federal grand jury in Phoenix is examining allegations that Arpaio has abused his powers with actions such as intimidating county workers by showing up at their homes at nights and on weekends.
WEll I am not suprised by the defending of Sheriff Joe here. I don't know how anyone can read that entire article and not support the feds in investigating this guy.
This alone is bad enough
The dude is pathetic and someone needs to shut him down.
How about the tens of millions paid out by Maricopa County to cover wrongful death claims for prisoners who died while in Sheriff Joe's charge? As Sheriff, he is responsible for the safety of his prisoners. Maybe he needs to spend a bit less time primping for the cameras and more time running his jails. You are pretty pathetic convicting him in your own little mind based on ...

We've come full circle. We now have the left claiming its OK to ask illegals for their papers.
So throw Americans in jail but then let the illegals go free? Sounds like a great plan! 🙄

People who actually expect all laws to be upheld, not just ones they agree with....we are the people who support Joe Arpaio.
No, people who really hate brown people love Sheriff Joe. If you wanted laws upheld you wouldn't elect someone like him.
LOL. You need to suggest a solution then or quit trollling. If Americans are breaking the law and know they are breaking the law then throw their asses in jail. The illeglas need to be deported all the way back to Mexico City, not just to some border town.
Are you suggesting we should put them in jail at our expense if their only crime was coming here to work at the invitation of some greedy ass business? Believe me, that is how it works.
Maybe the second time they get caught instead of deporting them we could throw their ass in jail and put them to work build a fence on the border.

Lemme follow this...
First time get caught working illegally in the US, get deported. Second time get caught working illegally in the US, get hired by the US government to build a fence.
WOOT good plan!
/sarcasm
None of the above...first time they're deported, send them by bus.
2nd time...send them by air...using a catapult.
We shouldn't have to deport too many a second time before they all get the hint and return on their own...

By Patranus' logic, I'm enforcing traffic laws when I drive the speed limit, stop at red lights, etc.No, but it IS the job of businesses to obey the laws and ensure to the best of their ability that their employees have the correct legal documents that prove their right to work in the USA.
Yes, because the Feds should be able to anything they want, right? Damn federal law, damn state law.
Should "Sheriff Joe" be able to do anything HE wants? Judging from the comments so far in this thread, it seems like his innocence is just assumed because he says he's fighting illegals.
I'm not sure that's how the legal system works...
