that scene with billy bob going into the building and letting loose was so well done. loved how they filmed that scene.

So I have not read this thread and I just saw a trailer of this show, is it worth watching?

I went in with pretty low expectations and I've been really impressed.

It took me an episode or three to wash the memories of the movie out of my mind. It really stands on its own as a great show.

yeah i don't remember the movie at all but this show is great. it's very well done. i loved the cinematography when they were out in the snow storm as well. just very well done.

This show is absolutely phenomenal.

As for the original movie... I watch it regularly with four other people. 2 loved the movie, 1 thought it was meh, 2 haven't seen it... And we all like the series equally. It stands on it's own.

Edit: Although, those of us who have seen the movie really appreciate the nods to the original flick.

I don't watch many TV shows but this is amazing. Could you expect any less from the Cohens?

I'm confused about one thing, the money that the grocery store owner found, is it the bag that was left by the guy in the movie?

Oh ya... The red ice scraper was the key indicator, don't ya know. (He says in his best Fargo accent...)

Yes, it was. "Evil begets evil", as it were. Remember, the grocery King, (forget his name, sadly) had very religious underpinnings, which is why he went bananas when Malvo did the "Plague of Locusts" thing in his main store, etc. So, I think there's been an undercurrent of "evil begets evil" in the show. And also the corruption of Lester by Malvo.......

Lester sending his wife in to the insurance shop (in the orange coat, no less) was quite possibly the most evil doing in this show... And that says a lot!

Hell yes it was. I was thinking the whole time "Wow what a complete asshole. He deserves 2 life sentences for 2 counts of murder."

lol
