9.0 Amazing
With rich and zany characters, darkly comedic violence, and a tantalizing mystery on tap, Fargo is well-worth watching.

The first episode started out pretty slow, but it ended great.

So many damn annoying Audi commercials - even with the DVR it was annoying. 😀

Fantastic. Exceeded all my expectations.

There should be much more buzz about this show. It didn't end with a cliffhanger, but I was sitting there after thinking "I can't wait to see what happens next week!"

Billy Bob plays always seems to play a great sociopath - he delivers again here. Many of the scenes in this first episode are corny, but hey, it's Minnesota. 😀

I managed to get through the first "failed insurance scene" before I started nodding off...and changed the channel.

I still have it in the DVR and will try again. I WANT to like the show...it has great promise.

The last 25 minutes (not including the commercials) are great. You should have stayed awake, or watched it at 7:00 like I did on the west coast. 😀

LOL... That's like four minutes into the series.

LOL, give him credit. It was passed the first commercial, which was after 20 minutes.
By "failed insurance scene", I figured he meant when Lester tried to sell the young pregnant couple a life insurance plan... Which was like four minutes into the show.

Being from the southern U.S., I've learned to ignore basically all accents that are done in movies/TV. The "southern" ones that are always done are ridiculous and sound nothing like anyone around here or the surrounding states.....I figure the same holds true for Minnesota and the Dakotas, and every other region.

BTW....I agree with those who say it moved slowly at the beginning, but you had to know something was coming...(and did it ever).
