Said they only met one time, I assume for this photo. Implies that the group itself, which Trump touted, was a sham.

This is going well.

I went over to Breitbart to see what was going on over there. There are top articles on the actual news but limited content to paint an accurate picture. Then I started reading the comments. My god. The brainwashing is insane.

Whatever they claim his role or relationship was does not change the fact that he emailed the campaign specifically about colluding with Russians and those emails were forwarded in what appeared to be an attempt to take up the offer and obscure it by using low level staffers.

That part I don't see direct evidence of. I see a clear conspiracy in the campaign and attempts to obscure it, but whether it even got to Trump himself is not implicit.

Yea because they literally made sure it stayed as far away from DT himself as possible.

that statement itself is vague. He could still be making the trips, they just need someone low level to "communicate" that he isn't. The one certain thing to be gained from that note is that the campaign knew they would be in hot shit and they were preemptively working to cover up their tracks.

No it appears they were formulating a strategy to attempt to leverage the data or at least pursue it by using lower level staffers. At least that is how I read it.

Edit: Although with Zin's post I can see where it could be interpreted as someone in the lower rung denying any interest to meet so as not to show it reached a higher level.

Dammit now I'm torn.

It is unclear how far up this goes. A while back Kushner was under a lot of scrutiny for this and he's basically 3rd in command right now.

No, it isn't explicit. Trump's knowledge of this is certainly implicit. How likely is it that Trump campaign officials (including his own son) were taking meetings with Russians who claimed to have dirt on Clinton and he knew nothing about it?

This is exactly my point. Where in here does it say whether Trump made any trips? It just said that they should communicate that Trump is not and specifically by a lower level staffer as to not arouse suspicion. That would be a reasonable act to cover up the fact that they were contacted by Russia and communicated with them on possible meetings and knew that this alone was wrong and potentially damaging to the campaign if it leaked.

Exactly.

It's hard for me to imagine a scenario where someone as high up as Manafort goes down without his boss going too.

Just to see what the new propaganda was, I turned on Fox this morning after hearing about the indictments. To my surprise the pretty ladies were telling Trump to stop Tweeting and making things worse for himself. I'm sure Trump was watching too, but will he listen?

To be fair they were also talking about Clinton's lies about Lewinsky as if the two scandals were on equal footing.

In my mind it shows intent.

I'm obviously no fan of the Trump team but I don't read it that way at all. Russia is reaching out to them through Papadopoulos & the suggestion is made that they be rebuffed, quietly.

Says they are asking for 9 million dollar bail for gates and 7 for Manafort. How does this Gates guy have 9 million dollars?

Manafort definitely has the money though. They are also asking for house arrest and monitoring!

lmao this Rick Gates guy is screwed. Apparently he has no attorney and they are asking for 9 million dollars bail. Fat chance he has of paying that lol

Looks like it's prison time for mister Gates and his prison stay will begin today lol. You don't ask for 9 million in bail from random citizens unless they really want them to start testifying NOW.

This is really odd... apparently he has (had?) an attorney, but his attorney couldn't be bothered to show up in court for his plea so they used a public defender for his "not guilty" plea? Does Gates have adequate counsel or is he being pressured by Manafort's counsel to tow the line?
