The orchestrated attack on Mueller has been heavily scripted & planned out in advance. Lifting the NDA on the informant in the Mikeren case is their last opportunity to whip up a batch of slime. He'll testify before Nunes'(?) committee in closed session, leaving lots of wagging room for Repub innuendo about what it all means. I don't think they'll gain anything given the truth behind it, but they gotta try.

I was thinking the same thing, but this contact is described as a relative of Putin's, and specifically in one case as "Putin's niece." Could be someone different.

I admittedly gave the documents a casual glance but I think there was a line towards the end that it clears up that it was not actually a relative and just a spokesperson.

Well that's pretty blatant. Still, the footnote doesn't say that Trump actually met with someone or knew anything about it at all. Clearly, the conspiracy exists with his campaign.

Personally, I think Trump should have long been removed from his office regardless of this investigation. It seemed clear to me on multiple instances he has met "high crimes and misdemeanors" and has demonstrated his danger to the nation as commander in chief. Unfortunately, I think a smoking gun would be necessary to force his removal via this investigation. Absent that, the Republican party will need to determine that they are better off without Trump than with him. And that rests on the people. That scares me.
