Speaking of media guess what's breaking on the good ol' Fox News chyron?

Trump to keep home mortgage deduction.

Can they be more in the water carrying business?? Guess WH hasn't told them what to say yet.

Got to love it. They've gotten to the point where Trump not fing over the middle class is considered a celebration and surprise.

No doubt. Think back to Howard Dean essentially sinking his campaign over "the Scream".

Trump has probably not gone a week without saying (or doing) something that politically should have been 10 times worse than that, or any number of past things that sunk candidates/office holders.

Trump could literally dismember a baby on stage and he'd keep over 30% support. No matter what this investigation shows, it will change no opinions. Mueller is corrupt, the media is fake yada yada. The Evangelicals will continue their fervent adulation of Donald Trump (that still boggles my mind...says more about them than him) along with everyone else fighting the good fight against the evil Liberals.

We, as a nation...are fucked.

i still don't agree with that considering that Manafort had clear allegiances to pro-Russian and anti-American people and policies and that the Ukranian policies were changes during the RNC. it's all still very open, there will be more indictments and only time will tell the outcome.

Understand what Mueller did here. He did NOT bring charges against Manafort and Gates which had anything to do with the Trump campaign. That does not rule out involvement, but this is Mueller being smart. Manafort and Gates are under real pressure here, with Manafort facing the equivalent of a life sentence. Trump et. al cannot attack Mueller over something which does not involve this administration.

So two bad guys are caught and may be motivated to give evidence which then can be tied to Trump or whoever.

This is a tactic.

Damn. Read the footnote on the Papadopoulos doc.

That's come out before. It's Manafort and Gates: https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...bd5460f0d7e_story.html?utm_term=.e33770118eb2

agreed, and the fact that Mueller released the Papadopoulos guilty plea which does tie directly to the campaign is part of his strategy.

There was also concern of the statute of limitations on these charges. Some of them were close to running out.

II. Timeline of Selected Events
PAPADOPOULOS's Role on the Campaign
4. In early March 2016, defendant PAPADOPOULOS learned he would be a foreign policy advisor for the Campaign. Defendant PAPADOPOULOS was living in London, England, at the time. Based on a conversation that took place on or about March 6, 2016, with a supervisory campaign official (the "Campaign Supervisor"), defendant PAPADOPOULOS understood that a principal foreign policy focus of the Campaign was an improved U.S. relationship with Russia.

PAPADOPOULOS 's Introduction to the Professor and the Female Russian National
5. On or about March 14, 2016, while traveling in Italy, defendant PAPADOPOULOS met an individual who was a professor based in London (the "Professor"). Initially, the Professor seemed uninterested in defendant PAPADOPOULOS. However, after defendant PAPADOPOULOS infonned the Professor about his joining the Campaign, the Professor appeared to take great interest in defendant PAPADOPOULOS. Defendant PAPADOPOULOS was interested in the Professor because, among other reasons, the Professor claimed to have substantial connections with Russian government officials, which defendant PAPADOPOULOS thought could increase his importance as a policy advisor to the Campaign.
6. On or about March 21, 2016, the Campaign told The Washington Post that defendant PAPADOPOULOS was one of five named foreign policy advisors for the Campaign.
7. On or about March 24, 2016, defendant PAPADOPOULOS met with the Professor in London. The Professor brought with him a female Russian national (the "Female Russian National"), introduced to defendant PAPADOPOULOS as a relative of Russian President Vladimir Putin with connections to senior Russian government officials.
10. After his trip to Washington, D.C., defendant PAPADOPOULOS worked with the Professor and the Female Russian National to arrange a meeting between the Campaign and the Russian government, and took steps to advise the Campaign of his progress.

Classic fighting retreat by the Trump Tribe. Wagons have been circled, the canon fodder is out front taking the hits for their Dear Leader, the deflector shields are on full power, the divert switch has been thrown and already overheating the transmission lines, some Repubs in Congress are going on a snipe hunt looking for ways to get rid of Mueller....you know, the same guy that the Repubs glowingly praised as a trusted straight shooter and all around unimpeachable nice guy. The other Repubs in Congress? Looks like they're all on the down low, hunkered down below the line of fire.

So, it looks like the Repubs are all set with their lines of defense, got their troops ready with their talking point counter-attacks/counter-volleys, FOX is going full steam with their silly "But Hillary" divert campaign, McConnell and Ryan are walking the tightrope trying to appear neutral but willing to go all in for Trump if they think they can escape any damage from doing it......

Yep, all the check marks have been checked and the Repubs have all bunkered themselves in nice and snug, waiting for the barrage on their namesake, their reputations, their brand and their careers to cease so they can rush back out and complete their job of making the very wealthy so much more so before they get outnumbered again.

MAGA! lol

Fox News talking points are being shat out as we speak:

Why does crooked Hillary get a pass?
Why is fake news reporting on this trivial stuff while ignoring the real story about crooked Hillary?
Trump has nothing to do with it.

Yea why not just admit they are Trumps Teit. Everything they say is a deflection.

They are demanding to know who leaked the secret indictments, lol what?

Fun thing I just noticed.

Look at the Manafort and Gates indictment. It's listed as Indictment B. So for any lawyer types, where is Indictment A? Still sealed??

(work productivity is approximately 10% today)

Not to mention that other people may now be worried that Mueller could catch their previous dirty dealings if he keeps investigating, which may prompt them to spill some dirt on Trump or his campaign to get this investigation focused on something else besides their dirty money laundering or what not.
