First things first, if you're that cop.....HAHA you suck! 🙂

I was driving today on a road I won't mention...3 lanes in either direction with a pretty wide median in the middle. I'm pretty sure it's a 65mph zone but it could have been 55. I was doing 85 in the left lane...most people were probably doing around 70-75. A large row of trees ended and there was a cop sitting in the median. As I'm passing him he starts pulling out after me, there was probably a 1/4 mile gap behind me in the left lane but I guess he took too long to get out and missed the window. Took him a while to get out but he does. I've got a little more than a mile to my exit by this point. I'm now in the right lane trying to get off the exit but there's a car doing the speed limit (god forbid) in the right lane and in the middle. I can tell the cop pulled out but he's stuck in a pack of cars (doesn't have his lights on yet, why I dunno). I cut over to the left lane, around these cars and back to the right as I see him break from the pack and start hauling serious ass after me. I'm still in the right lane as he's approaching with a pickup truck just behind me and in the middle lane and some car directly behind me. Just as he's passing the pickup truck I get off the exit at the last second and he slams on his brakes a couple hundred feet past the exit and finally puts his lights on. I haul ass up the exit and the job site I'm working at is a couple hundred feet from there. Pull in and the road curves around a bit then there's a guard station. Normally you're through there in 5 seconds but there's some construction vehicle doing something and I had to sit there in a line of 12-15 cars for at least 5 minutes before I could get in. Damn near had a heart attack especially when a taxi (Caprice) pulled in a few cars behind me.

For all legal intents and purposes, let's just say none of this is true, the Easter Bunny was sitting next to me and all comments about speeding being bad can be redirected to /dev/null.

What you did sounds like something out of the Need For Speed Most Wanted game. I hate cops, so I'm giving you a

So you had your mom and sister in the car?

You're a waste of time, waste of bandwidth, & waste of oxygen... Go kill yourself.

Meh, you can come up with something better than that. Heard it all before. I rate your flame 2/10.

I just wanted to thank all of the people that have been giving me hell all day, what was originally just a pretty interesting thing that happened this morning has turned into all day entertainment in this thread. Thanks!

Keep on praying.

It's just shens anyway.

He's 14, schools out, he's bored and craving attention, he makes up this story to give himself a little stiffie.

He as much as said it's BS in his edit.

We need to archive this thread so in case it actually has a remote amount of truth to it, we can throw it back in his face when he's in here blubbering that he's in deep trouble because he killed someone with his car and he's worried he's going to end up as somebody's girlfriend in prison.

Assuming his Mommy and Daddy can't pay off the judge.

More entertainment for you! 😀

If he's 14 then he started his AT forum membership at the age of 8. That's pretty impressive.

He was speeding and you turned him into a murderer?

Classic.

I'm pretty sure I know what road he was on. I do 75-80 all the time on that road, never get a second glance from the cops. I had a cop pull up behind me one time while I was going 75-80, I just moved over and he drove right on by. Everyone speeds - you have to give them a better reason than that to pull you over. Out of state plates is one reason, and the OP has out of state plates.

Read the whole thread...

I skimmed most of it. What am I missing? He was on a limited access highway and he was going over the speed limit. For some reason everyone is treating it as if he raped their mother and murdered their baby sister.

With all of the Californians on this board, I'm surprised no one has chided him for ONLY going 85, because all Californians drive 10 mph faster than whatever the national average is (or so they claim in any thread about speeding)

Well, you did the right thing by posting about it on the internet if that's what you were looking for I guess.

Ya seriously. What you did could have easily landed you a set of clean crisp manslaughter or possibly even murder charges. Tell me, would you have posted this thread if you got into an accident and killed a child?

I would of posted it to 4chan with the caption "BRB FBI" and giggled.

Not really, but it's almost as stupid a reply as the one you just made.

I originally contemplated smoke signals but the internet was probably the wiser choice.

//not always this sarcastic/wise ass...well, sometimes.

Looks like "always drives exactly at the speed limit" is another characteristic to add to the profile of the typical ATOT'er.

That's a load of BS. Law and legality does not equal correct, so the entire concept of a "sociopath" is dependent on your point of view.

I'm pretty sure terms like this were invented to describe less than desirable citizens. Meaning dissidents. Meaning good people who disagree.

Also, perhaps that antisocial sociopath isn't so much crazy as he/she is disgusted with everyone around them because they're monsters, and he/she sees through their facades.

Just a thought. 😀

I guess I'm just saying "f**k authority" in a more eloquent way.

I don't think the thread was about speed as much as it was about recklessness. Still, as the thread has proven, much of the hype here was a result of the over dramatized story rather than the reality.

What recklessness? Are you referring to the BS the one poster made up about "what if a child had been playing in the road?"

Hurray, bravo! You beat the man, what a load of crap the MAN makes you pay for speeding. I'm so glad you stuck it to that stupid cop, bet he's some loser out there who gets off of writing tickets. Man, you are so cool, I'm gonna tell all my friends about you. You are my hero man!!!

WOW, you are so bad ass for bragging about your "pursuit". Good job, maybe next time you'll actually start running when the lights go on and we'll see you on the news.

Though some cops (notice I said "some") are retarded little ****s, running away from a cop is probably one of the stupidest things one can do.
Even if you have a 90% chance of getting away, these 10% are not worth the risk.
Kids, get that into your thick skulls, a cop flags you down, its game over, don't try to be funny. I know it sucks getting pulled over (believe me I do).
But once you do, you stop, you put BOTH hands on the steering wheel where the officer can see them, and you wait for further instructions.

If you want to go get a beer later I've got nothing going on. Since I'm your hero drinks are on you I assume...I appreciate that. No autographs please.

Not a chance in hell. I just thought it was an interesting story, so did the guys I work with and apparently the more than 1100 people and growing who viewed the thread found it at least click-worthy.

Wow, he was serious ? I thought he was being sarcastic 😱

That's actually kinda scary.. And if you guys want to bitch about safety, you should direct your anger at the cop.. Slamming on your breaks in the middle of a freeway is just as (if not more) dangerous than going traffic+10mph in the fast lane.

Dude, I'm sorry you had to get flamed by a bunch of hypocrites. Sadly, on their way to work tomorrow morning many will go above the speed limit, some in excess of 10 mph over 😱.

I'm glad you ran and got away, last time I tried to the cop boxed us in at a gas station while we pretended we were getting gas. (We got a warning but it was scary nonetheless)
