Spoiler, read no further if you did not watch the second episode.
Me too. I figured that Baltar was probably a sleeper....
But that was a real curveball making it out to be Boomer.

I really wanted to hate this, and be able to tear it apart ala Phantom Menace, but I gotta admit, I liked it. I thought it was so-so after part 1, but I really liked part 2. I hope it gets picked up as a series, and that it gets a chance to last longer than 1 season! I was afraid I'd really hate Starbuck since Dirk was my favorite char from the old show, and they made the character a chick, but I don't mind *her* at all. She really was an asshole to Colenel Ti though.

Anyone else find it hillarious that Baltar tried to frame that guy, and he ended up being a Cylon anyways?

Anyone else think Colonel Ti looks like Norm MacDonald.?
I also really enjoyed it! Hope they do make at least one season of it.
I like the trails that the weapons make, a welcomed changed to the boring photon torpedos and lasers in most sci fi space shows (that i watch anywayz).
That chick in the red dress is rather hot!

I don't understand the Boomer thing? How does that make any sense with relation to the rest of the story? It was almost like they pulled a name out of the hat.
One more question.... "Number 6" in episode 1 turns around and says "I've been waiting for you". This happens right after the ai doctor guy leaves her to go do business. What did that mean? It can't be Boomer or the PR guy because they're on the Galactica.
And what about the whole thing with after "number 6" dies her memory get's dumped to a new unit. The last scene ruined that whole concept. All those units were already in full operation, why didn't they simply share there memory the entire time? Why does death matter to the memory transfer process?
I feel like the script writers added too many little tricks into the script and didn't bother to explain them. I kinda don't like feeling tricked after watching something like that. What ever happened to the cylon device that was on the bridge? Was that the tracking device or was it the PR dude?
I'm not sure I liked the second episode but I'm still trying to figure it out.
EDIT: questions

I was totally hoping that at the end, when the Cylon's broke that door down, that an old school Cylon would walk in and say something cool.

I came into this show with really low expectations but I'm surprisingly impressed.
It looks like the fX work was done by the same outfit that did Joss Whedon's Firefly. For a TV show, they are done quite well.
The Cylons seems more menacing this time around. I like the redesign of their ships and the Centurions. I hope we see more of them.
The story actually has some weight to it which is nice. The original tried to have weight but came across goofy alot of times and ended up going cartoonish until the final episodes.
I have to say that I do not like the new Starbuck though. Starbuck is supposed to be the likeable rogue on top of being a top-notch pilot. This new female Starbuck isn't likeable. In the two episodes so far she has been fairly mean and nasty. Especially to the XO.
Which brings me to the one failing of the show. They need more characters that viewers will like and care for. So far the only characters that the viewers can pull for are the President and Adama. Apollo is pretty wooden (as expected), Starbuck is uncharacteristically nasty, and the rest of the ship's crew is non-descript at this point.
Baltar is an interesting character though and I will be interested to see who his path twists and turns if the series is continued.
I hope Sci-Fi picks this up for a longer run. And they treat it better than they treated Farscape.

She's pretty tall, is she full Korean?
She looks like an anime character![]()
That part I thought made perfect sense. What was the first question the other Cylons asked him? "Where did they go?" He was expected to know. Baltar may have framed him, but who told him to do it?Originally posted by: Jadow

The Boomer thing I'm having issues with... not sure if I'm pleased with the ending. If they do make a series out of this, notice that we've still only seen 4 of the 12 different Cylon models.
Why did she tell him about the Cylon device? Could there be dissent within Cylon ranks?
