That was just revised , it was .6 miles deep.

That explains the distance then. People always focus on the magnitude but the depth plays a big part of how fast the magnitude falls off.

This is the third quake we had in the Philadelphia area in the past month or 2.
The last one was only 1 mile from my house and cause a loud BOOM sound and had people spilling into the street and firetrucks and emergency vehicles scrambling.

Im in West Chester, PA. My whole 3 story office buidling was shaking rather hard, we all ran out. We felt the effects for about a 20 second period, the more violent stuff lastest about 5 seconds.
