You don't know what 'hipster' means.
What is up with them? They look hideous and are hilariously expensive. I see all these college kids wearing them and I wonder how could they even afford those expensive POS. They don't even sound good at all.
Hipster equals douche and douche always equal hipster.
Educate me.
Yeah, it's Apple style marketing: Make a really good product, then mark it up 200% or more over what it should cost to make it "almost but not quite" inaccessible to the general public. Owning the product then makes you appear to be in the upper tier of society.
My nephew just got a pair of them; they cost more than my Sennheiser HD595s. And this is a kid who breaks every set of headphones he gets within 3 weeks of getting them. It seems like a poor investment.
ooooh yay, another "lets hate on something popular" thread on ATOT.
we haven't had one of these in a while!
In this case it's not even a really good or good product. It's mediocre at best.
I have several pairs of >$100 ear/headphones, none of which are of the dre beats variety.
Nowadays I just use the cheap $5 ones from monoprice which are amazing for the price.
