You can at least make the argument that expensive jeans are higher quality and more stylish than cheap ones, and being stylish is one of the primary purposes of clothing.

Beats are for posers who think $150 is expensive for headphones. It's the audio equivalent of Ed Hardy. I don't know anything about designer jeans but good designer jeans can look good, and Ed Hardy crap all looks like shit.

Most of the $150+ jeans are actually a lower quality IMHO than basic Levis. They look much nicer, but don't wear well (nor are they supposed to).

Headphones are not like jeans. Good headphones are actually better in numerous ways, almost categorically better, than cheaper ones. But not all expensive headphones are good headphones.

😀 has anyone ever told you that you are difficult to talk to?

No, only here because the posters want to believe in false ideals and/or reality.

Most people really don't care if their headphones sound the best, their TV has the best picture and their home theatre's audio goes down to sub-sonic levels.

They want things to look good, make them look good, fit it to the rest of society.

That's basically it.

It was more the 'whilst agreeing with people still managing to sound like you're arguing with them' thing really.

TBH it does make the place more entertaining though. 😀

Because people assume I am either trolling or just arguing. I really have no time to do either and simply state my experience / thoughts.

People here seem to hate reality.

Yeah but take this thread for instance.

You basically agree with the general feeling here that beats headphones are over priced, under speced, fashion items but still manage to somehow come over like you disagree.

I

I have some Beats by Dre ear buds that came free with my phone when I upgraded. Personally I think they sound pretty good. Best sound I've ever gotten out of ear buds. And I didn't have to pay for them as the phone wasn't any more expensive than other phones with all the same features but no ear buds.

The context of this thread is bash Dr Dre headsets.

There is a market for the headphones. Just state that. We all know it. The market is people that care about looks more than quality. Sadly, many people laugh at their look? So, their fashion sense is catagorized as "moron".

Go away.

money doesn't mean everything to everyone, believe what you want 🙄

it has nothing to do with how rich I am, I already have nice headphones, my sister is a teacher of special needs kids and I gave them to one of her autistic students who is obsessed with music but his parents are deadbeat fucks who ignore him and what makes him excited in life. you people are so bitter sometimes.

Bitter? What am I bitter about? That you gave the headphones to the kid instead of me? I was asking a legitimate question and you guys act like I am the most selfish person in the world. Right, because it's so common to 1) get handed expensive rapper headphones at work and 2) to hand them out. I think what you did was nice, obviously. I don't think you should act all high and mighty and look at me like I am asking the most ridiculous question ever.

Except that they have nothing equivalent to the retina display.

they have HD sound 😉

How much did it cost you to get them molded? I want to do that with mine.

The Beats by Dre are exactly like MacBooks. Higher price for style.

I got mine done at InEarZ, they are $90 right now. They had a deal going with Head-fi members last year that saved $5 and you got free basic artwork. You will also have to get molds done from and audiologist, I paid $50 for that.

If you have no budget, go with Heir Audio, Wizard does the best work in the business. You can see the insanely good work he does on his Facebook page.
