I wish I had enough faith in this country to be confidant about your last line.

Beer and booze has been such a staple in our American culture because it has helped to weather us through our most desperate times, so there is always that.

I'd like to agree with ya, but with his yuuuuge ego and complete lack of awareness of the world & foreign policy, we could land in WW3.

Greetings,

The Trump keeps getting into situations which would embarrass any other hopeful candidate, and still manages to pull in voters. What does that say about our people?

best regards,

If I thought for a second anyone who would support Trump was capable of being a decent human being, I'd think those statements would hurt him. As it is, the same shitty fucks who like Trump will only like him more as he says more and more shitty fucking things. And somehow, he may actually not be any worse than Cruz.

Too harsh. Trump followers are capable of better with better leadership.

The people have been split into groups and manipulated by propaganda to hate each other as a way to control the population?

The problem is there isn't a better alternative that is still in the race and has any shot. I think Trump is a complete whack job, idiot, but I'd take him over Cruz without too much thought.

Those four words are the only things that are propping up the Republican party today.

Sorry, I couldn't let that pass...lol!

It says they're smarter than someone like yourself who has been brainwashed by the media. Now go watch more CNN/MSNBC/Huffpo like a good little sheep.

Believe it or not, breitbart actually posts shit that you cannot find anywhere else. I'd agree with you if I was posting foxnews 24/7 but I don't even read fox anymore.

Yes it does. So did the Brothers Grimm. It's called fiction. Breitbart is infamous for breaking up the monotony of their shameless spinning by adding generous helpings of outright lies. They are the lies you want to hear, however, so you slurp it up without a hint of critical thought.

this.

Nothing can stop him from getting the nomination...or at least being the primary republican vote-getter in a 3-candidate general if that happens.

But he ain't winning POTUS.

You say nothing can stop Trump from getting the nomination?

Unless he earns 1237 for the first vote I doubt Trump gets the nomination.

I think many of us are now realizing how much power the delegates have in all this. I've been doing a little reading on the delegates themselves, not a lot but enough to make me doubt Trump gets the nomination unless he earns 1237.

Some (IDK how many) of Trump's delegates are not loyal to him, not at all. The delegates seem to be party apparatchiks, low level repub establishment worker types. That's how they were chosen, not because they personally support Trump. Trump's wins were a surprise. It seems some number of these delegates were hoping to vote for Jeb or whomever, but now find themselves compelled to vote for Trump, at least on the 1st convention ballot. Some are claiming no way in hell they vote for him in the 2nd round.

Trump, being inexperienced in politics didn't come to this realization until just lately, probably too late to do anything about it.

I suspect 'private polling' has, or is, taking place to gauge the loyalty and preferences of the Trump delegates. I also suspect that some private campaigning is taking place to woo his delegates for the 2nd vote.

So I wouldn't be surprised to see Trump shoved aside at the convention.

You may well be right ... but you better hope not. If the GOP screws Trump, he seems ready to launch an independent campaign. Not only will this cost the GOP any hope at POTUS, but it will anger a lot of Trump supporters enough to pull the 'D' lever in down-ballot races. If even 10% of Trump's supporters vote 'D' to spite the RNC establishment, it will cost them the Senate and a bunch of House seats.

The GOP created the Trump monster, and he's poised to destroy them.

Unless Trump wins 1237, which I'm very doubtful of, a Repub party apocalypse seems inevitable to me. For me the only real question is what happens after that.

Even if Trump wins the nomination, he won't win the election without the women, black and latino vote, which it looks like he's pissed away pandering to the GOP base.

If he does win it looks like he will get to the bottom of the Clinton email thing

https://www.rawstory.com/2016/03/tr...who-will-investigate-hillary-clintons-emails/

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump told Good Morning America on Wednesday that he would appoint Supreme Court justices who would investigate Hillary Clinton’s emails.

Trump replied: “Well, I probably would appoint people who would look very seriously at her email disaster because it’s a criminal activity and I would appoint people who would look very seriously at that to start off with. What she is getting away with is absolutely murder. You talk about a case, now that’s a real case.”
Lol!..this guys a hoot!..Supreme Court Justice by day, Private Dick by night. I'll bet he wears a big fedora too.

I read the link, I don't see where Trump said specifically he would appoint SCOTUS justices to look into the email thing.

lol Vote Democrat or the Republican will land us in World War III.

Yeah, that's a bright shiny card that's never been used before. Except, you know, every single Presidential election since World War II.

Tea and cake. C'mon, you'll have fun.

I would say they'll be fist fights, but under Republican rules, it's an abomination for a prick to touch an asshole.

I read the link, I don't see where Trump said specifically he would appoint SCOTUS justices to look into the email thing.

Fern
Did you remember to read it in Loonish?

EDIT: More seriously, it's in answering a perfectly reasonable question about what kind of SCOTUS justices he would nominate. If he didn't mean that he'd nominate Justices who would investigate Hillary's email, it's his own fault that people think he did.

At the moment it doesn't seem like the country has anyone worthy of the presidency even in the race. No matter what happens the US loses. The entertainer, the preacher, the loon, or the crook. Take your pick.
